That's the nickname I received in 1996 when I served my first bottles of absinthe at a friend's party. I've been called that ever since.

I love absinthe and its colorful history. I love how misunderstood it is. I love its color, and I love its smell. I love how it tastes when mixed with water over a sugar cube, or just a splash with a glass of champagne. I love how just a few drops of a good absinthe makes a simple drink taste amazing!

Mariposa Absinthe is helping absinthe step out of its dark past and into the light by bringing absinthe to the west coast West Coast certified organic and biodynamic grapes, and certified organic herbs with a traditional flavor profile.
