We have a sleek and intimate space, a dynamic team and a concept that will rock Brooklyn and become a fixture for the kosher community and the neighborhood at large.

Our location; the address is 708 Washington Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. We're a mere few blocks from Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park, a short walk to the Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum. We're right in the middle of three subways: Brooklyn Museum 2/3, 7th Ave B/Q and Clinton/Washington Ave. C. 

We're Itta Werdiger Roth, founder and Chef of The Hester, a kosher supper club, and Sasha Chack, former Food & Beverage Director of 92YTribeca, and we have a truly unique, accessible and fun restaurant concept.

At MASON & MUG, guests gather at their own small tables or together around a bar. Street art, large-scale maps and hardcover books provide a lush indoor backdrop. Or bask outside in sunshine and conversation, surrounded by an organic herb garden whose offerings are used daily in our menu.

Our concept: small plates, inexpensive, quickly and freshly prepared. The constantly-changing menu is our own take on street food from all over the world. International ideas are paired with local, seasonally-sourced produce.

The in-shop General Store will also stock our favorite menu items. House-made jams, pickles and dips, as well as artisan breads and your Sunday bagel fix!

We hope to appeal to everyone, but we’ll especially attract local and organic patrons, and kosher-keepers. Honest preparation, food education and satisfaction are all critical to our success.

We’ll offer a wide selection of craft beers and kosher wines, affordably priced. We will also offer wine cocktails, sparkling mimosas for Sunday brunch, sangria, bellinis and sake-based cocktails for warm summer nights.
