Short SummaryHi friends, we are the Michigan City Vandals, a indie rock band from Benton Harbor, MI. We have been together about 6 years and are on our 5th album. This album is important to us because we finally have an opportunity to work with some Grammy, Emmy and Academy Award winning music producers at no cost; we just need to cover the studio time, mastering and duplication. During our career as a band we have donated over 100% of our album profits to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Area Domestic Safe Shelters and have played over 30 benefit shows for people who need help with medical bills, lost their homes or for fundraisers, so its an odd thing for us to ask for help for ourselves. But we have always believed in music as a force, as a unifier and have focused on writing and performing the best possible songs we can create. We have always cut our records where and when we can with what we can afford, and have been blessed to work with some great area engineers. This record is our chance to finally put out the music and sound at the quality we have always wanted to and have it produced. It will give us the chance to learn, and have our songs guided by two very talented guys who have won a cumulative total of 4 Grammys, 8 Emmys and 1 Oscar. Thanks for reading this through, we appreciate your consideration. It means a lot.
What We Need & What You Get
$3700 of these funds go to studio time at Chicago Recording Studio to track and mix. We will use $600 professionally master the album and then the last $700 will go towards CD and a limited vinyl pressing. That will cost more, but we have money that we have saved from shows to use for the balance.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you cannot afford to contribute, we know and understand, but if you know us, like our music or just know us as friends, please help us get the word out and ask your friends to pre-order an album or donate if they can. Indiegogo has great share tools that you can use to post to your social media accounts and we would appreciate it.
