MIDNIGHT MOVER

DANNY SHAW is an Afghan war vet. He saw plenty of weird shit over there and did some of it, too. He survived three tours of duty -- at least physically.

Back stateside, a haunted Danny drifts into the role of driver-bodyguard for the ladies of LOLLIPOP DELUXE, an “escort service” started by a handful of aging porn stars cashing in on their dwindling fame. Every night, Danny drives the ladies down the dark streets of the city, never knowing how the next “party” will turn out.

But when GINGER SWEET hits her panic button and he crashes through the front door, tire iron in hand, Danny finds himself propelled headlong into a hunt for that “stuff of dreams” Shakespeare and Sam Spade talked about. He’s going to find out the war was just a warm-up, compared to what the graspers and the grifters, including a crazed one-eyed cop, will do in their lust for fortune in the City of Angels

LITTLE DOG PRODUCTIONS

Little Dog Productions, located in Los Angeles, California, was founded in 2005 by Doug Burch and Sam Ingraffia.

Their passion for filmmaking has led Little Dog to produce, or co-produce pilots, features and short films that are provocative, cutting edge and award-winning. Their motto has always been, “ Make films because you must, not because you can.”

WHAT MAKES MIDNIGHT MOVER UNIQUE?

MIDNIGHT MOVER combines live action and graphic novel artwork to create a mesmerizing film noir look at the sometimes terrifying, sometimes hysterical, dark underbelly of life.

The episodes will be written by award-winning author and graphic novelist GARY PHILLIPS.

Each episode will be helmed by a different director, giving them their own original style, within the film noir genre.

STYLE

The series will be shot by Emmy Award-winning Director of Photography MICHAEL FRANKS. in a dark, gritty, hand-held style on the streets of Los Angeles -- think KISS ME DEADLY, FAREWELL MY LOVELY, BRICK. Little Dog Productions loves film noir and wants MIDNIGHT MOVER to have that edginess and sense of urgency.

WHY YOU SHOULD HELP US?

First, because MIDNIGHT MOVER will be an exciting series to watch; incorporating film noir style, with graphic novel art.

But more importantly, because the central character, DANNY, represents a whole new generation of returning vets. He’s trying desperately to assimilate back into “normal” society, while dealing with the demons he brought back from the battlefield.

A portion of the funds raised for MIDNIGHT MOVER will be donated to Veterans' support organizations, like WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT, VETERAN X and IAVA.
