MilwaukeeHome, Festival City & The Hotel Foster have teamed up to bring Milwaukee to the Austin TX's largest Music Festival, in a big way!
One day. One stage. One city. All Milwaukee.
We believe in the talent bred here in the Cream City... And we want to show it off at one of the largest Music Festivals / Conventions in North America! Its time to stand up, shout out, and be noticed!
So why are we crowd sourcing?
Simply put. This is an expensive venture. The music festival is a great place to get noticed, get signed and expand your audience. There is one problem... money. As a general rule of thumb, bands operate at a loss to show off their chops in Austin. We don't like that. Not one bit. Why should bands with significant finances be the only ones to represent our city when half the bands we live with and love, work their butts off with little financial support to show for it. This festival is all about the little guys... or at least it used to be. Anyway, we liked it that way, and want the Milwaukee Stage to fairly represent EVERYTHING Milwaukee has to offer musically.
So to you we come. We ask that you show your support for your favorite band...

What We Need & What You Get
Our goal for this fundraiser is $20,000 (actually its probably a lot more... but these here rules suggest we go low. Rules is rules... who are we to argue?)
100% of the money raised in this campaign will go towards funding the stage and towards paying the travel expenses for performers. If gas prices are the only thing standing between staying home, and our local guys/gals getting noticed, then by gosh we are going to do everything we can to cover them.
Whats in it for you? Besides the ever present memory and glowing warmth you will feel for supporting the arts in Milwaukee? Local goods! We are working on filling donor prizes with the best of the best from our favorite local bars / restaurants / boutiques / venues / etc.

The Impact
This is what we hope to be the first of many years that we will focus our efforts on exposing the music industry to Milwaukee, as a city rich with talent and culture. With your help we can grow... and reach the eyes and ears beyond our city's border. With some hard work and persistence, we think that the industry will take notice.
