About missingNo:

missingNo is a horn-based seven piece video game cover band based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. Our arrangements consist of musical selections from vintage to current generation titles and feature a variety of genres such as rock, funk and jazz. We had our first performance in August 2012, and have been performing at gaming conventions and local venues ever since. In addition to our local performances, we have been garnering an international fanbase using our YouTube page, which features candid footage of our rehearsals, performances, and NEScapades - our LetsPlays of classic NES games. Making our debut album:

The creation of an album utilizing three horns and a rhythm section will require about $5000 dollars in addition to our own personal funding. These funds will be evenly split between the recording of the album and the production and distribution of the album. While the album's release will be primarily digital, we will also be doing an initial run of CDs and a limited one time only release of vinyl. A portion of these funds will be going towards obtaining the rights to record the music. We want to support to the original creators of these tunes and ensure that we can give back a small portion of what they have given us.

But what do you get out of this?

First and foremost, you will be receiving a copy of the recording we will be creating with your generous contributions. However, we want to be more involved than simply providing you with great music! We want to build a community and get to know some of our fans and fellow gamers - which is why some of the perks include more than just the recording. (Update: Residents outside Canada please take note of postage fees.)

Any amount you donate (including the upper perks!) will get you a digital copy of the album. Once released, this would cost you $5. The discount is our way of thanking you for anything you donate.

For those of you who prefer having a hardcopy, this will get you the album in both the CD and digital format. You will also get a missingNo button! Everyone loves buttons. (Update: Residents outside Canada please add $5 for postage.)

Again, you will be receiving both physical and digital releases of the album - but this time we will give you a choice of receiving a signed copy, or one that has authentic missingNo drawings all over it. (178 available) You will receive a LIMITED EDITION vinyl release of the album.  We only plan to make 200 of these available, and this will be your best chance to make sure you get one! As always, you will also be receiving a copy of the album in digital format if you want to keep your vinyl in pristine condition. This time, your button comes with the exciting new option of being able to choose between red or green! (Update: Residents outside Canada please add $15 for postage.)

(25 available) Come and hang out with us at a live rehearsal! We'll play some music, answer any questions you may have, eat some snacks and play some video games! At this level, you will be receiving our CD-button combo as well as a digital copy of our album. (Hosted in the Greater Vancouver Area)

(20 available) You will receive everything that you would get from a $30 contribution, but you will receive a vinyl copy of our album instead of the CD. (Hosted in the Greater Vancouver Area)

Is there a video game song that you ABSOLUTELY MUST HEAR MISSINGNO PLAY OR YOU WILL DIE AND YOU'RE TOTALLY SERIOUS ABOUT THAT? Well, this is the perk for you! We will arrange any video game song of your choosing and put up a video of us playing it. If we're super happy with the arrangement, we will likely perform it at our future gigs.
