What are MOGU sleeves and how to use them?
MOGU sleeves are very long pieces of
colorful, soft and light fabric sewn to form sleeves which tie together to be worn. They are really
simple to use and make the
play free and open. When you put them on, the whole new world opens up for you to explore! They
simply urge the motion, make you
spin, make you
run, and they just
fly behind you. They make you reach further and enable to touch and connect beyond the expected.

MOGU sleeves can become the wings of a dragon or a dress of a princess, the magic rays of a powerful wizard or a fearsome typhoon. It all depends on you and your imagination. There are no instructions or guidelines – so be prepared to be surprised!
They are suitable both for children and for adults. Get silly with your kids. Set yourself free!
MOGU sleeves are easy to pack and carry with you.
Material used is high quality, soft, lite and very pleasant to the sense of touch.

Where the inspiration came from?
Inspiration for MOGU sleeves comes from a
form of dance – the traditional Chinese dancing with long-sleeves. You might have seen it in the “House of Flying Daggers” movie.

The creator of MOGU sleeves has personally been practicing the 5 Rhythms dance for years:
“5 Rhythms dance has benefited me in many different ways. It liberated me. It helped me find my freedom both in movement and in spirit and made me realize how these two are connected. I started out as someone who was more comfortable staying at the corner of the dance hall. I hardly moved my arms while dancing. But now, I find the Lyrical rhythm, the one of 5 with the emphasis on arms, joy and ease of being, closest to my true nature. When my movements are wide and when I take A LOT of space, it feels great! I feel great – and that amazing feeling transfers further to all other aspects of life, and I am truly grateful for it. MOGU sleeves are the manifestation of this energy, this joy of life!”

Why are they valuable?
MOGU sleeves set you free! This simple, yet amazing plaything inspires movement. It creates a situation which is different than usual, and the sense of wonder is awakened. The exploration starts. You can’t be sure what you will find. You need to move and find out. Move your arms, move your feet, move closer to your play-mate, move away, spin, run, jump, wave, stop, chase, ketch, pull, rest, breathe, get tangled, untangle, move gracefully, move fast or move slow, even slower... This exploration of movement ignites the imaginative play. Move slow as a snail with the sleeve being a slimy trail, or move strongly like a wind! Remember – how does a king move in his robe? A gymnast with a ribbon? A wave in the ocean? A fish with exotic colorful fins? A bird? A lizard?
Physical activity is very important for healthy development of children and maintaining the health of adults. But if the physical activity is also fun, it can be elevated into something more. It can move the entire being by awaking the sense of wonder, creativity, imagination, emotions, interactions, the freedom itself.

Why crowdfunding
Creating toys and playthings is a passion that people involved in MOGU sleeves share and would love to keep sharing it with others! Croudfunding is a great way to reach a greater audience, connect with people, get feedback, and develop new toys through play. The more people play the better.
Reaching the goal would enable us to produce a series of MOGU sleeves for new playmates out there and help the rest of MOGU toys become more than an idea, but a real playmate on a real playground. That means being able to buy materials, hire 2 people to help us sew, organize marketing and start selling!
Thank you very much for your attention! We greatly appreciate any kind of support you can provide – through donations to our campaign or helping spread the word about this project.

Rewards
For all rewards you will be able to choose from 5 available colors, and 3 sleeve lengths. Longest sleeves are 2m long (size L) and are suitable for parents as well as for kids above 6 years old. Middle size is 1.6m (size M) and suits kids from 3 to 6 yeas old. The smallest sleeves are 1.2m (size S). MOGU sleeves are not recommended for children under the age of 3 - if you use them you need to be careful so kids do not trip over them, since they will drag on the ground. These recommendations are approximate. You can decide what is best for your kids based on their height. Consider that 40cm goes to tie them and the rest of the length will hang from the shoulder.
