Hi!

My name is Lee Harrington, and I travel around the globe teaching people to communicate in relationships, examine their personal desires… and how to tie each other up :)  I’ve been doing this work for 15 years, and my passion for it is as strong as ever because I am regularly blown away by the amazing people I meet who are so excited to add depth and spiciness to their lives. Folks like you. I have a pair of books that are ready to be born, but I need your help to make it happen.

Back in 2006 I wrote a book called Shibari You Can Use: Japanese Rope Bondage and Erotic Macramé and people loved it, but it’s time for it to have a 2^nd edition. This time it will be in full color, with new images, updated copy, and renewed clarity in the easy step-by-step instructions.

But why stop there? The sequel is ready to roll too! More Shibari You Can Use: Passionate Rope Bondage and Intimate Connection picks up with new ties, new material, and delicious ways to delight in intimate restraint.

The idea:

All over the world, people are starting to explore rope bondage as a way to create beautiful art, or to add a little spice to their private lives. I wanted to make it really easy for other people to do it – making it not just usable by the average person, but safer too.

There are other books out there on the market, but a few things set this project apart from the rest. One is the “why” of bondage, rather than just the “what.” Not only can you learn a wide variety of ties in these books (from hogties to facial bondage, intricate chest harnesses to basic wrist cuffs) but these books also help you figure out your intention, how to connect, and how to enjoy each other more fully using exercises beyond the ties themselves. The Shibari You Can Use books also includes an array of attractive and approachable models of variety of sizes, genders and ethnicities, rather than a homogenized vision of what someone in bondage “should” look like. Why? Because bondage can be for everyone! And, we use both sensual expression and humor alike to help you keep learning with your shoulders down and full being engaged.

The color photographs have been shot by the artist RiggerJay, who is my kick-ass visual collaborator on this project. The copy has been updated using feedback received over the years, and new material has been crafted for More Shibari You Can Use. Countless hours have been spent with models under lights in beautiful rope, long stretches have been spent in writing retreats, and extended time has been spent in photographic hermitage for the project.

But we need to raise the costs for layout, editing, distribution and printing. You can help bring instructional sensual restraint to your bedroom, play room… and the world at large! 

GOALS FOR THE PROJECT:

EBOOK SUCCESS!!! $8,000: Our basic goal was to get the costs for layout, editing, ebooks setup and perks covered. We reached this funding level, so every backer over $25 will receive discount codes to the rope makers who provided the rope for the books.

HAPPY DANCE!!! $20,000: Okay, so we don't have a actual print goal here... but we're working on an extra prize for everyone at this level :)

$40,000: Print Goal! This will get out printing costs covered for the number of books we want to do in the first print run. When we reach this goal, every backer over $25 will get a secret 20% discount code for purchasing a variety of my books online, and a 10% off code for The Geeky Kink Event New England.

$50,000: Full Print Goal! At this level, we will be able to print our full print run, cover our costs, warehouse and distribute books (all of which need paid for up front). In reaching this goal, every backer over $35 will receive a four postcards featuring art prints from the project.

$80,000: Book 3 Goal! By raising these funds, we will be able to produce “Even More Shibari You Can Use: Bedroom Bondage and Decorative Restraint” a year after the first two books are released. Help us turn the series into a hot threesome, and in doing so, Lee will produce a series of videos of instructional bondage ties on Vimeo, including material not shown in the first two books.

Notes about Perks:

• All print book folks will also get a copy of the ebooks as the print book will come out a bit later.
• Even if we do not fund the print run costs, perk print books will still be printed in a much smaller run, by the same printing company as we will be using for the full project.
