The youth group at Promise (Henry's Church) just got back from an amazing spring break mission trip to Atlanta. As part of the pre-trip meetings each year, they read a book together. If your church has a youth group (or is doing a mission trip) show them some love pick up a "Bakers Dozen" and use it for your pre-trip sessions.
You could be a hero and pick up the "Pair-A-Baker's Dozens" so they can wear matching shirts on the trip. This week, the first 3 who support the project at this level will get a skype session with Dani and Henry for one of your groups pre-trip meetings.
The "pair" chapters are designed for group building and the "bull" chapters will help prepare your group to process what they face on your trip.

What's this book about...
It’s more than a story...
It’s about a lived story.
The story that bears the kind of fruit that echoes into eternity.
It’s about living better stories.
in communities of truth.
Where conversations are keys to giving earthly stories their heavenly meaning.
Some call these parables.
Join us as we explore her story, his story and their story,
which we will see is our story...yours and mine.
And it is so much more than a story.
The story behind the story
Have you ever been sitting in a coffee shop found yourself eavesdropping on a really interesting conversation. As international public speakers, Dani & Henry have had those kinds of conversations. About a decade ago they wondered what would happen if they joined up and approached speaking from a conversational model, inviting the audience into their conversation. Giving the audience permission to eavesdrop. About three year ago, they made it happen.
As Dani & Henry have heard stories, told stories and lived stories, they have realized that these are not just stories, they are parables. Henry’s childhood Pastor said, “A parable is an earthly story, with a heavenly meaning." Dani & Henry believe that the stories we all tell, and the stories we all live can be just that.
Like Henry and Dani moved from the coffee shop to the stage, they are moving again - this time to a book. In “Pear-A-Bull: More Than a Story,” Dani and Henry will explore their stories, unpacking them and addressing the heavenly meaning through conversational writing. With their conversation as a model, they invite you to start living your own meaningful story by finding the purpose behind the story.
Making the Story happen
We took a week in the summer of 2012 and started writing together in hopes to have this book hit the streets in November of 2013...that’s where indiegogo and you come in.
Creating a book is expensive and the majority of the funding will actually go to getting the book printed and mailed out.
In addition to our speaking gigs, and last years “write week” we need about 3 more flights between Fort Wayne, Indiana (where Henry lives) and Minneapolis, Minnesota (where Dani lives) to make it happen. Although we will do a lot of the collaborative effort through phone calls and Skype sessions, we know we need about 3 more face-to-face "write weeks".
The rest of the money will go to photographers, graphic designers, and layout experts. We are professional speakers writing our first book and our iphones are great, but we are trying to be professionals here.
Can’t contribute doesn’t mean you can’t help....
Can contribute, we still need your help....
