MORGAN
For 6 years, I’ve been perfecting a craft that has taken over the greater part of my sanity. A love that I’ve had since the age of 5 while playing the violin, and eventually delving into percussion in my teenage years, my love for music is beyond a good beat and/or lyrics...it’s my life, it touches my soul. I’ve taken a particular interest in hip-hop. With the scarce presence of female artists in the industry today, I would like to provide balance, and expand the legacy of female MC’s. To continue the work I've already started to achieve that goal, I would like to do a four month, 9- city American tour that will include headlining performances and showcases. During this time, I will be recording a new CD titled “Dream on, Dreamer,” and documenting the entire experience, which will allow me to keep you up to date with my progress.
The reason for this tour is to reach an audience outside of my current fan base. At this stage in my career, it's not only important that I write well, but being able to perform with ease and passion makes a world of difference, and requires practice and persistence. As an independent artist, it is important to tour and spread the word about your music to gain a dedicated base of supporters and fans, especially when there is no backing of a major label.

The budget for this project is $13,000, which covers the items listed below. Other items (merchandise, printed albums, etc. for contribution perks) will be financed by Morgan.
