THE MOTHERFUCKIN PLOT:

After a run-in with the law, Mallory and her troubled boyfriend Mike are forced to lay low in a rural farmhouse with her distant family.

When she arrives, she discovers much has changed since her last visit: her Uncle has disappeared, her Aunt has locked herself away in a disgusting room, and her cousin Jake seems to be the only one who knows what's going on.

Unfortunately, Jake is not the most welcoming host. Secretive, antisocial and more then a little odd, his behavior implies that not all is what it seems at the farm.

As time goes on, strange occurrences begin to trouble Mallory but it's the unusual closeness Jake has with his mother that may prove to be her biggest concern.

On the night the young couple host a party at the farmhouse, she discovers just how gruesomely strong a son’s love for his mother can be.

WHO'S MAKING THIS MOVIE?

The production team of Motherfucker the movie have decades of combined film making experience and SHOULD be heartily paid. But instead of filling our pockets we've all agreed to take deep pay reductions and divert those funds back into the film. We're doing this to make the best possible movie.

We want EVERY dollar to be on the screen... 
It's important to show people what can be done for a small budget.

While $112,000 may seem like a lot of money (and it definitely is) it's also not that much when we're talking about quality movies. We’re out to prove that we can make a low budget movie feel like a blockbuster experience. 
Fortunately the production team of Motherfucker have ALL been specifically trained for quality work in this low budget film arena.

In other words; the $112,000 will create a movie that looks and feels like a million dollar flick.

Here's how it's done;

1) Production Team Pay-cut: as mentioned earlier, the qualified production team will be taking an extreme pay cut in order to bring this project to the screen.

2) One Superb Cheap Location: the film primarily takes place on one creepy property: 20 acres of terrifying terrain. We’re talking lakes, skate parks, junkyards, and probably the freakiest farmhouse this side of the hemisphere. This is all being made available to us at next to nothing.

3) We Own Over Half The Equipment: .Besides Hidden Horizons' own studio equipment, (lights, sound, etc.) the few remaining pieces can be acquired at a reduced cost due to the newest innovations in 4K camera technology. Shooting a studio-quality film has never been cheaper.

So basically, every dollar donated to this film is equivalent to five dollars spent on a “mainstream” film.

To see an example of our filmmaking style in action, watch the Motherfucker trailer in the video above. That trailer was filmed and edited with professional special effects for under two thousand dollars. Without our previous experiences in low budget filmmaking, the trailer could have cost well over ten thousand dollars- with two thousand going to special effects alone!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Over the years, cheap gimmicks, unnecessary sequels, clichéd deaths, and unoriginal storylines have plagued horror fans. We’re here to change all of that.

We pride ourselves in our ability to achieve studio quality entertainment without spending studio quantity cash.

Therefore, helping us is really helping the world understand that a low budget movie doesn’t have to be a B-movie. That fantastic cinema can be achieved without multimillion-dollar budgets. That's more important to us than anything.
