Be the What?  Be the Change! 

The Plymouth Educational Center ChangeMakers are a group of 5th grade students in Detroit.  Our school year is divided into three parts: Be the change in your own life, be the change in someone else's life, and finally ... BE THE CHANGE IN THE CITY OF DETROIT!  In this process we hope to inspire others to take ownership of their surroundings.   

Last year we beautified a park next to our school [Forest Park]... this year we are continuing to work on Forest Park, and in addition, we are creating a MASSIVE mural on the old, abandoned Juvenile Detention Center wall across the street from our school.  For the mural we will be partnering with world renowned street artist Dave Persue [Bunny Kitty], 1xRun and Inner State Gallery. We hope the mural will create positive energy in our community... it's also an opportunity for us [5th grade students!] to take charge with our vision for Detroit.

What We Need to Make OUR Vision a Reality

In order to create this AWESOME BTC Detroit x Bunny Kitty Mural we need $2000.  This money will go towards facilitating the project: supplies/paint for the mural, Bunny Kitty coming to Detroit, tee-shirts for the ChangeMakers and healthy snacks/sustenance for paint days!
