Hi there, thanks for your interest in supporting Labyrinth of the Psycnonaut: Music Myth Cosmos. We're gearing up for a new season of Soundlessdawn videos and are asking for your help in producing this brand new series. As always, the content will be posted online free to the public. Due to the amount of time and resources required to produce these videos, we've chosen this IndieGoGo campaign as an alternative method of fundraising.

The content of this new documentary series has to do with the introspective mysteries of music. This video series will be accompanied by an online forum where those who donated to the project can co-inspire each other to contemplate the various mysteries addressed in the videos. We hope that our work will lead toward a new body of research into the cultural relevance of these two interpenetrating topics.

If we successfully raise $20,000, we are committed to the creation of an 8 part video series, released in ten minute segments over the course of 2013. Otherwise, we are prepared to make one video for each $2,500 raised by this campaign. Any money raised beyond the highest goal will go to expanding the quality of the presentation, including graphic design and web design.

Our video production team has been active since April 2006 and already enjoys a healthy youtube following of over 26,000 registered subscribers. We spent the past two years amassing research materials, drawing outlines, and compiling audio/visual material for Music Myth Cosmos, preparing for the manifestation of an epic multimedia collage. We're ready to enter the actual editing and production phase now and need your help to bring it to life.

What We Need & What You Get

The Impact

Everybody understands that a profound power is made available through the art of music, though the true source of this power still remains somewhat of a mystery. Artists may wax poetic on the magical nature of sound and music, while others approach music through neuroscience and physics. Still others draw from the language of harmonic laws, mathematics, and the creation/resolution of sonic tension. Our goal is to bring these disparate perspectives on music together through the lens of cultural artifacts, as is typical in the Labyrinth of the Psychonaut Videos.

The creators of this film project are affiliated with a worldview called synchromysticism, which postulates that the universe conspires to awaken to its own true nature through human consciousness, and that it does so in a non-linear fashion. Which is to say, we hold the belief that powerful recurring themes in media trigger energetic movement (emotion) in an individual's psyche because of deep-rooted archetypes hardwired into collective human psyche. These strange attractors show up all over the place in our daily life and once identified, can serve us as a source of power, generating positive or negative emotional states in oneself, and through oneself into the manifest world. In this way, we awaken to our capacity for creation and destruction, the very same power which lords over our planet today.

We have both put over a decade of study and work into music performance, during which we've become well acquainted with the power of music to evoke emotional states. What makes our work unique is the expression of these truths through a cross referencing of music, films, still-images, and spoken monologues. This technique of multimedia collage is a product of the internet and freedom of information. It is an expression of ecstatic mental revelations through the cross polination of artistic relics.
