Have you ever watched the news and literally screamed at your TV (or computer screen) in frustration?! That's how we used to feel, so we decided to do something about it. Nearly a decade ago, we began channeling our frustration into Media with Conscience - an online political magazine. We no longer scream at digital screens; we analyze the news, investigate and shed light on hidden contexts, find commonality between global events and expose deceptions.
Why this? Why now?
MWC News has been a vital platform in the alternative news media landscape for almost a decade. Our bold contributors from all over the world share honest, unapologetic views and analysis on global current affairs issues true to our objective of promoting global justice and fostering informed citizenry. We are part of the growing movement of diverse media outlets that challenge corporate news coverage with alternative perspectives. Together we provide access to crucial stories that are helping to shift the balance of power. Our mandate is to focus on the news behind the news – thoughtful analysis that connects the dots and goes beneath the surface.
There's the news and then there's understanding why it is important.
We are looking to take Media with Conscience to the next level by introducing online videos that synthesize the connections between power and politics and their effects on our daily lives.
Video Project & Website Updates
We have been laying the groundwork to introduce our video project and to enhance our website with improved accessibility and reader-focused design. Rather than simply reporting news as it happens, our video project will reflect our approach to focus on thoughtful, in-depth synthesis of the news with interviews that provide fuller context.

*Note: We included a range between the basic minimum cost for the video production project and a higher quality version, should we be fortunate enough to raise more funds.
Who We Are & Our Mandate
MWC News is a non-profit organization run by managing editor Shahram Vahdany in collaboration with a board of fourteen senior editors. Our team is comprised of dedicated individuals, each with a minimum of twenty years of experience in global politics.
Since our inception, MWC News was meant to be a collaborative effort. There is no line between reader and editor – we all work together to produce unfiltered and uncensored examination of news without any economic or partisan interests. Our aim is to offer a clear-cut distinction between fact and opinion, and between what is essential and what is superficial. It is the readers as much as the writers who will make that determination; we are all experts, or should be, on issues that concern peace, socio-economic fairness, and the survival of the human species.
MWC News is an important forum for intellectual battle. We firmly oppose any present or future forms of imperialism that can ultimately intervene in or take away our freedom. We separate ourselves from political correctness where social justice is concerned. We do not waiver from our belief of a just and human world for everyone.
In order to uphold these values, we cannot rely on governmental funding or private enterprise for financial support. If you agree with us - that the age of Orwellian journalism is over and people must have access to unfiltered news and information – then we're asking you to join us. Your support will go directly to the website and video costs described above, with no overhead.
