My name is Peggy Rajski, and I use my headphones a lot. Putting
them away should be simple and fast. But I
was frustrated by how long it always took me to untangle them or find them in
my purse or my house. And I hated how
much I spent replacing my headphones because I lost them or the wires shorted
out! That’s why I created OKIOTO.
OKIOTO looks cool, is easy to use, and feels comfortable when you
wear it. It takes about 5 seconds to attach your headphones, then only
seconds to wrap and unwrap them every single time you use them.
Because your headphones always stay attached to OKIOTO, they're faster to wrap, easier to find, and way more fun to use. Even better, it save your headphones a lot of wear and tear so they last longer!

Why do we need money?
For
more than a year, I’ve been working with a mechanical engineer, manufacturers and 3-D prototypes to work out a ton of design details—height, weight, shape, feel, wrapping proportions, edge tapering, etc. —all the small but incredibly important things that make OKIOTO
work as easily as it does. After testing different
materials and manufacturing approaches, we're finally ready to take OKIOTO into production!
Now we need $25,000 dollars to make it all happen. At that level, we'll
have enough money to make the mold for the first design—the Butterfly in orange—and place the order for our first production run with the seasoned manufacturer we have lined up. We'll complete the packaging design and be able to start shipping OKIOTOs
within 4-6 weeks of completing this campaign.
So we'd love to have your support! And if you are able to contribute $20, you’ll get a limited edition OKIOTO Butterfly
and be able to tell–and show!—people you were there first.
What's next?
Once we've reached our goal of launching the OKIOTO Butterfly in
orange and are ready to stretch, everyone who pledges will be able to cast
their vote for which color to offer

About the Inventor
I’m an Oscar-winning producer, script and film consultant, and professor at NYU. I love taking on challenges--big and small--and coming up with creative solutions. I even created a very successful not-for-profit organization—The Trevor Project--from scratch to help address an important issue that was at the heart of my film TREVOR. So problem-solving is in my nature. And OKIOTO was the answer I came up with to a problem I found really vexing on a daily basis!
There's another thing about myself that relates to OKIOTO. I really enjoy helping other people. I’ve been a mentor or a teacher of sorts pretty much my whole life. Helping make things just a little bit easier for other people is one of the rewards I get out of doing this...and it's one I hope you'll enjoy too when you give your support!

headphones included with OKIOTO?
OKIOTO is the
headphone organizer itself and does not include a set of headphones. You
get to use your own favorite pair!
2. Do I need
to add the cost of shipping to my pledge?
If you live in the
US, shipping is free. For all other destinations, please add the amount
indicated. Wish we could do it for free but shipping has gotten pretty
expensive!
3. I contributed to a perk but I forgot to add
the extra money for shipping.
Don't worry, we'll be in touch to sort it out.
4. I can't get my payment to work in
Paypal. What should I do?
