BACKGROUND STORY

The first 4 episodes of “One Hit Die” were funded by the Alberta Foundation of the Arts. Yes this is art, you might not think so because it so AWESOME, but it is. 

With the money we received from the AFA we were not only able to complete 4 episodes, but we also made 4 mini episodes, 4 behind the scenes documentaries, and an awesome photo shoot. These will be released throughout the funding drive. Not bad for a little arts grant. The problem is I can only apply one per year and it takes 6 months for them to decide if I get any money.

These first 4 episodes, aren’t a season they’re a prologue. An introduction to the characters and a sample of the style that defines “One Hit Die” I made these to show the potential. I have 2 full seasons of stories I want to tell, and awesome cast and crew but I need your help to make the a reality.

I’m trying to raise money to help fund a full season of One Hit Die, but I need your help to do it.

FUNDING DRIVE

What I want to do is raise the money here to fund a full season. This film making things is expensive. There’s insurance, locations fees, props, wardrobe, sfx makeup, equipment rentals, transportation and food. Yes, you don’t think about that, but feeding 18-25 people for 4 days gets expensive.

We also work under a special ACTRA’s Independent Producers Agreement that allows us to pay our actors a fraction of what their union demands.

I’m asking for $50,000 to make 7 more episodes. All money will be spent on the cost of production. If we get more than $50,000 we will make 2 more episodes and include more magic, and special effects. More than $75,000 everyone gets a Hit dice! That’s right the mythical stress relieving Hit die that we’re only selling at the toronto Comic Expo.... They’re pretty awesome

Milestones

$50,000 - 7 Episodes complete season 1

$75,000 - 9 Episodes + more monsters, magic, and visual effects.

$75,000+ Extra Money will be used for the pre-production and a potential mini-quest between season 1 and 2
