Director Garry Medeiros's first feature film, "The Terror Factor", not only won "Best Of New England" award at the, RI International Horror Film Festival, but was quickly picked up for distribution and released on DVD in 2010. After reaching out to a group of talented Argentinian filmmakers known as, Farsa Productions, Medeiros showed interest in continuing their famous zombie trilogy known as, "Plaga Zombie". With Farsa's support, Medeiros, sets out to make the biggest, bloodiest, over the top, thrill ride ever attempted by an independent filmmaker. "The challenge is to pay homage to the original trilogy while also making it our own.", says Medeiros. Also saying, "What's on our side is we have Farsa Production's full support, which is huge, but this amazing project won't come to fruition without the support of you good people."
Synopsis:
In 1997, an alien race attempted to invade a small city of Argentina by fertilizing the human population, turning them into blood-thirsty zombies. The plan almost worked, until three unlikely heroes battled back against the zombies and ultimately destroyed the alien mother ship.
Now, 16 years later, the aliens are back to their old tricks. Their target this time around is America. The city of New Bedford, Massachusetts is quickly overrun by the alien zombie infestation. To contain the outbreak, the American government detaches the city at its fault line, setting it adrift into the Atlantic Ocean. Amazingly, three new heroes emerge and must not only battle through the hordes of zombies to stop the alien invasion but also anchor the floating city before it smashes head on into the Azores Islands.
All proceeds will go to the extensive make-up and prosthetics needed to make this the bloodiest, over the top, thrill ride we can.
