Short Summary
My name is Steven Gallagher. I am currently studying Film at the Academy of Art University. The story for Preserving Christmas started out as a class project. It was intended to be a five minute short, but somewhere between the second and third draft it took on a life of it's own. The response from my fellow students and my Producing Instructor showed me that this story should be made and not put away somewhere on my hard drive. By helping fund this project you will be helping a film student bring his vision to the screen, provide you with entertainment, and make a short film to enter into local film festivals.

What We Need & What You Get
The funding you provide will go to pay for our daily shooting needs. Some of these things include makeup, props, location, costumes, food and water for the cast and crew, and electricity for the lights.
In return for your funding, you will be treated to a slightly twisted story that happens to take place on Christmas Eve. Also there are a few goodies listed on the right that you can pick from. Some will be taken care of right away while others will have to be sent out after the project is complete.
Other Projects
Besides the three to five minute shorts done for school, I was also the Assistant Director for the full length feature film “The Legend of Seven Toe Maggie” in 2012.
Thank You
In the past when a film student wanted to make a film he/she had full access to school equipment and fellow students who would work for a copy of the film, credit in the film, and allowed to use the film for school credit. Thanks to advances in technology that is not true anymore. Students are taking online classes from top film schools and having to purchase all of the equipment themselves. The lack of fellow students near them means that all talent needs to be compensated for their work. Without people like you willing to support student film makers, very few student films would be made. I would like to thank you for your time reading about this project. I look forward to filming this project and in turn keeping you on the edge of your seat while you watch it.
Other Ways You Can Help
Please pass this project on to friends and family. Word of mouth is still the best way to let people know about the film. Feel free to post it on your Facebook page, twitter, and even google+ or just use the indiegogo share tools to help pass it along.
