A Place For Anime Fans In Orlando!
Thank you for checking out our donation drive crowdfund page! We are Propeller Anime, a group in Orlando, FL that has dedicated ourselves to serving the local anime community with awesome anime showings, parties, podcasts, convention events and more!
We take pride in having a place where fans in and around Orlando can enjoy anime and meet other fans in a fun and positive setting. Over the years, lots of great friendships have been formed through Propeller Anime. With that said, we want to be even better at what we do and that's where you come in!
What We Want To Accomplish!

For years, we've wanted to host an anime screening at a cinema and we're looking to make a movie theater the site of our "Best of 2013" event! It's been a great year for anime and a long time since Orlando has had an group like ours show anime at a movie theater to the general public for free. We want to bring that back! This would happen in January.
UPDATE: We did it! We've made the money needed to rent the movie theater for the "Best of 2013" anime showcase! Now on to our stretch goals!
After we raise the money to rent a theater, we want to upgrade our equipment for our monthly Anime Nite Orlando event so we can provide a better viewing experience. Right now, we're using borrowed standard definition equipment. We want our own high definition equipment to make Anime Nite Orlando HD!
Lastly, running events and parties costs quite a bit as far as entertainment, prizes, advertising and actual anime purchases are concerned. We hope that this donation drive can cover that too!

Next Goal $1000 - "It's MANIME!" 24-Hour Livestream Marathon!
One of the most popular panels we do at conventions is called "It's MANIME! The Manly Anime Panel!" Hosts Kent Ward and Shawn Wilson celebrate the manliest of anime and manga. With this unlocked, they will host 24 hours of consecutive MANIME with their colorful commentary!
$1300 - Anime Nite Orlando HD Upgrade Part 1
We're currently operating on standard definition equipment, which is fine for classic anime but not so much for modern works. Part 1 of our HD Upgrade is getting a new projector that is both widescreen and high-definition so we can make the viewing experience for Anime Nite Orlando even better!

$1750 - Anime Nite Orlando HD Upgrade Part 2
Once we have a widescreen HD Projector, we'll need a screen to go along with it! We desire a screen that is suitable for 16:9 high-def projection. Not only that, we want a more reliable HD media player than what we have been currently using. This will complete the upgrades of Anime Nite Orlando to HD!
$2000 - "Best of 2013" Marathon in a BIGGER Theater!
If we get to here, that means that there are a lot of people that want to watch anime in a movie theater, which means we'll need to get into a BIGGER theater for our "Best of 2013" marathon!
More stretch goals might be added based on feedback and support! Stay tuned!

There will even be a reward tier that will result in Propeller Anime founder Kent Ward sacrificing all dignity and masculinity and go to the Anniversary Party... in drag! (That one won't come cheap!)
UPDATE: Added new reward tier "Bizarre Adventure!" For $25 or more, YOUR NAME will be shown in a "Thank You" video that will played several times at out "Best of 2013" anime marathon and available on YouTube! Great way to show you care about the anime community! If you represent a convention, event, club, podcast, or blog, we'll put that in too! It's kind of like advertising!
Why Are We Doing This?
Simply put, we've wanted to show anime in a movie theaters for years. We've thought of different solutions, including industry support. It looks like the only way to do that is with your help. We've gained a lot of momentum over the years by putting on many great events and we hope the support that we have garnered will help us make bigger things happen.
For nearly seven years, we have been a part of the anime community in Orlando. We started out as a small college club and evolved into the group we are today. We're not exclusive; all you have to do is show up and you're one of us.
In addition to anime showings and meetups, we've hosted a variety of events, panels, contests and video rooms at conventions such as Anime Festival Orlando, Mega Con, Anime Weekend Atlanta, Knightrokon and SwampCon. We've had a lot of success over the years and we thank you for the support thus far.
To summarize what we do, we help make things awesome for anime fans wherever we go. But we could do better. The community can be better. Let's work together to make some cool stuff happen!
