Diese Kampagne dient dazu, Vorbestellungen für mein Produkt QUAD entgegenzunehmen, um einen Teil der Produktionskosten vorab decken zu können. Dadurch ermöglicht ihr mir, mein Produkt unabhängig von etablierten Herstellern nach meinen Vorstellungen von nachhaltiger und fairer Produktion umzusetzen. Die Preise können nur in einer Währung angegeben werden, daher steht hier alles in US Dollar. Wenn ihr Fragen zum Produkt oder zur Produktion habt, könnt ihr mich gerne anschreiben oder sie im Kommentarbereich hinterlassen. QUAD is not just a trivet. It´s a beautiful and exciting design object. Its practical, but not just reduced to its function. It´s captivating, inspiring and will put a smile on your lips.
I have been working on this product for the last few months finalizing the materials, details, manufacturers, packaging. I`ve even produced a small hand-made batch which I sent out to my family, friends and retailers....and they love it!
Now I´m ready to get it produced in a larger scale so more people can enjoy this wonderful product.
This product will be made using local wood from Germany with the help of local manufacturers as well as my own studio in order to provide high quality and sustainability.

The QUAD Trivet
QUAD consists of 16 wooden cubes – oiled walnut or maple - connected by a silicone ribbon inserted in the underside of the cubes. The silicone ribbon is flexible, yet durable and heat-resistant. This structures allows various configurations ranging from a compact square to a widespread circular shape.
There are multitudinous variations ranging from basic geometries to more chaotic and decorative shapes.

In a world of mass products and big retail chains, trying to establish a label for useful and innovative design products is challenging.
I have had a lot of positive response so far and realized in order to make my work sustainable I need to reach the end customers, the design enthusiasts, people who are looking for individual and innovative products - and not necessarily the big retailers.

Production + Shipping
The QUAD Trivet is a simple product, which keeps the manufacturing clear and manageable. However, it isn´t so easy to manufacture it in higher quantities and offer it for an affordable price. Until now I can only buy small quantites of wood and do each step by hand. To offer this product for a more affordable price I need to invest in larger quantites of wood and outsource some of the manufacturing steps. The main supplier and manufacturer will be my trusted local wood workshop in Germany, which supplied the wood for the first prototypes. The final manufacturing steps and packaging will be done in my studio in Berlin, Germany.
I have tried to design this product as sustainable as possible using mainly natural materials such as wood and felt from local production. Also, I use solvent-free linseed oil for the wood coating and solvent-free adhesives. The flexible silicone ribbon is durable, long-lasting and heat-resistant.
After the campaign ends I will immediately go into production. Since this product is also producible in small quantities I can ensure each backer will recieve his backing order even if the backing goal is not reached. As a professional product designer a high quality of execution is my top priority. 4-6 weeks after the campaign ends the first shipment of QUADs will be sent out.
