Hello friends!
I am thrilled to let you know that Regina Nejman &
Company will premiere āā¦and this is the
story thus farā a new multimedia
dance/ theater piece, at the prestigious Dixon Place Theater on Wednesday, December
11th and Thursday, December 12th at 7.30Pm.
This project consists of six dancers, a guitar player, a
costume designer, a videographer/editor, and tech support. Everyone has been
working very hard since May AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Your contributions will go directly towards paying artistsā
fees!
(Ticket sales only cover a very small amount of the total
productionās costs)
I am very excited about this ambitious new dance! In the piece, the stage is approached as a
āsiteā, the live music is interacted with Brazilian popular music, and a film
created by myself will be projected as well. The movement has been carefully
constructed and deconstructed to fit the nuances of the piece, and it is
intertwined with improvised moments. We are exploring themes such as memory,
desire, real and fictional life stories. We recently performed an excerpt of
the piece and it was described as AN INCREDIBLE PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION ā DANCE
AND MUSIC LITERALLY ENGULFING ONE ANOTHER by Theo Boguszewski from The Dance Enthusiast.
You will laugh and you will be moved, excited and inspired, and
probably will want to get up and dance too! And you can do that at the
reception on Wed, Dec 11th! And of course after the show on Thursday
too! I am looking forward to meeting all of you then! Please share our campaign with your friends!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
XO, Regina
