Welcome to REGNVM
My name is Kris Micallef. I am a self-taught photographer and I live
on the Island of Malta. I am fascinated by the beauty of the human body and the
infinite ways in which it can be captured photographically.

photography and did an experimental underwater photo-shoot, entitled UNDRWTR,
in a swimming pool. I attended a diving course and got my scuba diving license,
which opened many new opportunities. At this time, I was inspired to adapt my
everyday observations and experiences to my concept of an imaginary underwater
kingdom, REGNVM, which is exactly what this project is about.
The REGNVM project
The project consists of a series of underwater portraits
photographed over a span of two summers in various bays around the Maltese
Islands.
What I need to reach my goal
My goal is to raise enough funds to publish the limited edition book
containing the full series of photographs from REGNVM and to organise an
exhibition of Fine Art Prints. The more money I raise, the more I will be able
to realise my ideas for this project.

The Fine Art Prints
I am working with a top printing lab in Malta that specialises in
fine-art photographic printing. All Fine-Art Prints will be printed on soft
cotton archival paper. The complete collection of portraits will be exhibited during the month of February 2014, at BLITZ, St Lucy Street, Valletta, Malta’s capital city.

The Book
The beautifully designed story book will be printed by Gutenberg Press,
one of the top printing houses in Europe. The specialised team will be making
sure that this hard cover art book is a high quality publication that you will want to keep on your bookshelf or coffee table to enjoy and show to your friends. The
book consists of the complete series of photographs exhibited in the REGNVM
series plus many others captured during the underwater photo-shoots. Creative
writer Stanley Borg weaves a story of power, struggle, beauty and love around
the inhabitants of the kingdom. All books will be numbered and personally
signed.
What will you get for your contribution?
Rewards are available for contributions starting from €15 and these
include 15cm x 15cm Notecards from the REGNVM series, the REGNVM book and Fine-Art Prints in two sizes, all numbered and personally signed. You can

You will receive your rewards during February 2014 following the
