Remember what it felt like when the dirt road rubbed between your toes?
Remember how you and your childhood friends would play until moms yelled for you to come in?
Reunited - A Southern Touch is about a group of childhood friends who lose touch as they go into the world working and trying to grow up, and sometimes forget how to be a kid, and how to have fun. This TV show embarks on the reuniting of childhood friends, and their journey as a whole, compared to flying solo.
My name is Jason "Lumberjack" Johnson. I have been in front of and behind the camera for over 7 years. Traveling all the way to the west coast I have been in movies such as Country Strong and Ticking Clock, as well as on TV with Final Witness. And the list goes on.... I am the Producer and Director of this TV pilot.
As each person contributes it helps to make R.A.S.T that much more enjoyable, as we capture the events in our everyday life that will bring smiles to your face.
To make "R.A.S.T" the production team is aiming to raise $15,000. This amount will cover:
Hiring of Filmmaking Equipment
We will be getting the best equipment available because we want it to look awesome and not walmart style. Make sure lighting is right, the best sound equipment to pick up sound with out static and then cameras that have that hollywood feel.
Locations
Locations sometimes come cheap, but they are rarely free. Our film is set in several spectacular locations all across the South, so as well as being a showcase for the landscapes of this fine land sometimes the locations come at a price.
Production Insurance
It's important that everybody working on "R.A.S.T" feels safe and secure as we shoot the picture. It is also a legal requirement to have both Employers and Public Liability Insurance when undertaking filming in the USA.
Make-Up, Effects and Production Design
It's vital that while we do our very best to craft a beautiful, visual story with our cameras and our actors, we do not overlook the importance of production design and make up artistry. The screenplay presents some exciting challenges for both departments while we’re shooting. We do have on board one of the best Hair and Makeup people in the world: Victor De Leon has worked on the Oscars, VMA's, Columbia Weekly, and more to come.
Post-Production
So... post-production is where everything gets put together and the images go through several stages of cutting and colour grading. Importantly, this is where the sound is mixed and mastered and the all important music is added. It's the bit that everybody tends to forget!
