Overview

ROKAN is an exciting, new, ongoing comic book series from co-creators Ben Jackson and Max Headshroom.  The first issue explores the origin story of ROKAN in 30 hand painted, full color pages.

Thucydides’ words serve as the perfect epigram to communicate the theme and intent behind the story of Rokan. Picture a society based in part on the rivalry between Athens and Sparta but reimagined in perfect collaborative harmony. The Older Brothers devote their time and lives to magical/religious revelations while The Younger Brothers, a corresponding caste of elite warriors and austere manual laborers, protect them and safeguard their discoveries.

In such a world, one man finds himself torn between these two roles. Rejected by both and unwilling to turn his back on either, Rokan must combine his skills as a warrior with his wizardly insight to overcome obstacles in his struggle for survival and conquest.                          
Creative team Ben Jackson and Max Headshroom are combining the titanic fun of comic  book superhero  fights with a mesmerizing fantasy landscape full of creatures, cultures, and mythologies reminiscent of creators such as Simon Bisley and Frank Frazetta
