Short Summary
- Safemode is a metalcore-band founded in Uppsala, Sweden, 2007. The band won the national music contest ”Rockkarusellen” in 2009, has toured in South- and Central America once (so far), and in Europe twice, with bands like american The Almost, Sleeping Giant, Showbread and dutch The Spirit That Guides Us. In 2011 Safemode won Red Bull Bedroom Jam, which led to a gig at Sonisphere Festival’s after party in front of bands like In Flames and Slipknot. First album ’For A Better Tomorrow’ was released in 25 countries and several songs ended up on american radio charts, together with songs from the EP ’Gold Digger’ from 2013. Safemode is well-known for its energetic live-performances soaked in a message of hope.
- Safemode is invited to make another tour in South- and Central America in January 2014, and we are so happy for this! Everything is set, except that we need to raise money for our flight-tickets. We are short of time, but believe that we can make it together with you!
- To be able to go on this big adventure, we need help from you. We have been so supported by our fans from the very beginning, and we are so thankful to finally be able to come back to our friends in South- and Central America. With your help this dream will come true! We are very thankful for all support we can get, so feel free to give whatever you like!
What We Need & What You Get
Let’s break it down in more detail:
- Right now we need $6 200 USD to be able to pay for our flight-tickets. We will fly from Sweden to Costa Rica, from Costa Rica to Colombia, Colombia to Costa Rica, Costa Rica to Sweden.
- We got some really exclusive and unique perks! Wouldn’t you like Safemode to write a song based on your life-story? :) Or what about a nice Skype video-call with the band? - The funds will be used to pay our flight-tickets. If we don’t reach our entire goal, but still be able to go on tour, we will use the money to cover costs for the tour. If we don’t reach our entire goal, and won’t be able to go on tour, or if the tour will be canceled due to reasons beyond our control, we will use the money for other tours, concerts or events, for merchandise, or to make new music. No money will be wasted.
The Impact
About the tour and how your contribution will make a difference:
- A tour in South- and Central America is very valuable for both us as a band, and to our fans there. This is a very important fanbase for us, but also important friends that we would love to play our classic songs for again, and also let them hear our new songs live for the very first time!
- Last tour we had a blast together! We got fans, or more correct: We made friends for life. And we still constant receive questions about when we will come back.
- To be able to combine to play great music with a message of hope, and travel around the globe meeting friends is such a blessing. We hope that you will help us to make this all come true!
