Secret Paris is a reality-based travel show using
a fun mystery based on Cara’s 13 best-selling Paris novels to focus
our explorations. Like a scavenger hunt,
the mystery (searching for a lost painting, finding a hidden inscription in a
historic building, identifying an artifact from the French Revolution) takes
us, along with Cara as our expert guide,
on an amazing journey, from the Latin Quarter to Montmartre to the Marais.

create the pilot episode for this unique travel series.
THE
PRODUCTION
The pilot episode shoots in Paris this October. Cara (and Aimée) will lead us
through a Paris rarely glimpsed by tourists.
So far, we've confirmed the
following amazing filming locations:

· An exploration of the private Musée des Anciens Carrières (Museum of Ancient Quarries). Even deeper than the Catacombs, the quarries are honeycombed beneath
Paris. From there, limestone
blocks were mined to build Paris’ most amazing buildings, including Notre Dame Cathedral.

·
A personal tour with
museum curators of the Roman bath ruins at the Cluny Museum. We'll visit areas closed to the public,
where excavations are currently going on and you can still see the
original paint on the Roman walls;

·
A visit to Café
Procope, the oldest Paris restaurant in continuous operation, founded in
1686! Procope counts among its many guests Napoleon, Benjamin Franklin, Voltaire & George Sand. We’ll learn this
remarkable history, seeing how the old neighborhood still holds secrets from
the past – if you know where to look!
Here we’ll interview Cara about her books, her research, and her love of
Paris.
-
Hidden in a central
Paris parking structure behind Volvos and Peugeots is the largest remaining
section of old Paris, the city wall that dates from 1203. Why was it built and
why is the street level of modern Paris so much higher?
-
The most amazing chocolate shop in Paris, La Chocolaterie de Jacques Genin! And caramels, too! Jacques will take us behind-the-scenes to learn how he makes his amazing "chocolate chaud" and unique candies.

Any and all contributions are very welcome and appreciated. Even 10 dollars will help!
Please tell others

DISTRIBUTION GOALS:
We'll pitch the pilot episode and “sizzle reel” to major cable
networks showing the unique approach and style of the series. Pitching without a sample would make it very difficult
to sell the show and give a sense of the quality and how new & different this
program will be.
