Who are we?
From the Flint area of Michigan, Shadow Image is a rock duo formed by singer and multi-instrumentalist Harley Mace with partner in crime on keyboards, Mandy Monster. We combine influences ranging from goth, deathrock, post-punk, heavy metal, and classical piano, to create a sound which defies definition and fuses memorable, underground music of the past with dark tones of today.
We are currently working on our debut album titled "Kiss the Ashes", produced independantly by ourselves to be released this May through Danse Macabre Records.
Our album is already well on it's way to being finished but we need your support. We're offering this campaign as a way to pre-order directly from the band and allow your contributions to make the most difference.
Visit our Youtube channel and to hear some of our previously released music and some previews for this upcoming album. We will be updating it periodicly with more videos as we make progress.

Why do we need pre-orders?
We are producing this album ourselves. This means we have unlimited creative freedom and get to release the best music we can. However, it also means that we bare the complete cost of production financially upon ourselves. Most of this has already been invested from our own pockets with the expectation and hope of recouping from future sales. So this is where our fans come into play.
By pre-ordering you help us pay for all things involved in our music production as well as the album media as a whole. This includes but isn't limited to:
- Instruments
- Audio Cables, stands etc
- Microphones
- Digital Audio Workstation (computer and audio interface or sound board) and Software
- Camera, lights, tripod and stands
- Speakers, monitors and headphones
- Utilities (eletricity etc)
- Living expenses while working on the music (food, water, COFFEE)
But, this fund raiser also allows us a way to throw in a few bonuses to our fans who pre-order depending on the level of support you choose. We want to do as much as we can to offer you all something cool. Of course, that depends on the level of support we get.

What does all this mean?
The internet has offered for the first time in history, independant bands a way to get their music out there to the world. We have also chosen to partner with a great record label which let's us retain creative freedom, in an effort to reach places we normally couldn't. While this is a great time for music, it can't happen without the support of fans connecting directly with musicians. Alternative music beneath the mainstream literally lives or dies depending on the response from fans around the world.
At your request, we are offering signatures on any physical merchandise you purchase from us.
What if you can't afford to contribute?
We understand, it isn't always possible to actually buy an album you want right away. Everyone's needs and economic level is different. In that case we simply ask that you share this page as well as our music with others and contribute some other way when you can. Whether that means just offering supportive comments, attending our concerts, buying a button or patch, either way, we thank you.
