We are Big Deez Productions, a team of video game industry professionals that comes from legendary projects like HALO, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Alan Wake, Spec Ops: The Line, Battlefield, Killzone, Max Payne, Duke Nukem, and many other huge franchises. 

We are in partnership with the man, Shaquille O’Neal, an avid gamer himself. We got tired of bowing to the monolithic men with the money and wanted to work with people who care about the quality of the product. We are people with passion that intend to make solid, addictive, kick ass games, without a whiff of BS. And who are our big executive partners in this effort…? YOU! Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, is where it all begins.

In 1994, a well-known publisher released a fighting game starring a then 22-year old basketball superstar by the name of Shaquille O’ Neal.  Capitalizing on his immense popularity, the publisher allowed the game to be released with numerous shortcomings.  In many circles, the game has become a cult-classic, attaining the status of “so bad its good” and even prompting one fan to dedicate a website, ShaqFu.com to the destruction of all remaining copies of the game.

No! Definitely not! There are two, and only two, similarities between our Shaq Fu, and the abomination that was born in the nineties: The name, and the starring character.

We are gamers, not executives. We know what’s good and we know what stinks. This isn’t about trying to make a quick buck, it’s about creating something that both we and Shaq can be proud of. We want to make a slick, fun, rock-solid game.

We’ve assembled a team of creative people who have this vision at the heart of what they do and we’re really excited about this. We want you to be a part of that excitement and a part of this awesome project.

Most celebrity games take a well known face and build a crappy game around it, knowing it will sell. We want to build a game that would kick ass even without Shaq. As the main character, however, Shaq, really wants to be a part of this and we love that he’s onboard. He's going to have a huge involvement in this and he is not about to let the same mistake happen twice, and neither are we.

He is the best center ever to play the game.  Of course he's got money, and yes he will be investing a lot of his own time and money in this project.  We will be investing considerably more of our own money in the game than we are asking for.

The purpose of bringing the game to the public is to see how much interest there is in becoming Shaq’s partner and in seeing the game happen.  In exchange for your help, Shaq, is offering unprecedented access to his life with incredible perks.  Here are some highlights:

Shaq Fu is what the original game should have been – an instant classic.  We're talking Streets of Rage meets Street Fighter meets Devil May Cry. It’s a modern day take on the classic beat ‘em up.  Play as Shaquille O’Neal – learn hundreds of moves and battle techniques, take on thousands of enemies with dozens of cool melee weapons, battle bosses in dynamic arenas, master cool finishing moves and play with your buddies in COOP mode or against each other in player vs player combat.

In Shaq Fu, dozens of unique and varied enemies await which require careful use of tactics.  The game also features destructive environments, awesome power ups  and a series of well-designed, beautiful levels with interesting progression.  This is all tied together by what very well might be the story of the century, a performance worthy of an Oscar, by the Big Diesel, in his battle against a villain for the ages – the mysterious Black Star Ninja.

Steve Molitz is a world-renowned musician and composer who has toured with Rich Robinson, Phil Lesh and Robby Krieger and has jammed with the Allman Brothers Band, Little Feat and dozens of others. 

As the founding member and leader of the pioneering jamband Particle, Steve has fused modern electronic music, classic rock and hip hop into a kind of music that defies categorization.  He will be creating a soundtrack that remixes and modernizes classic Shaq songs from his collection of Platinum and Gold albums including the remake of Don’t Stop the Reign.  Some people have brazenly compared Molitz to god.
