Two best friends. No jobs. No home. One dream.

Our Story
Nari and I met 2 years ago, we fell in love 1 year ago, and in a few days we'll be embarking on the next leg of our journey.
We come from very different worlds, but we were drawn together by our mutual love of technology and its power to make the world a better place.
We want to become entrepreneurs who change the world through technology, and we believe anything less would be irresponsible and a waste of our passion and talents.
Unfortunately our previous jobs, while stable and comfortable, were not places where we could make the kind of impact we wanted.
So we've quit our jobs and are setting sail for the shores of Silicon Valley, the mecca of technology and entrepreneurship. Once there, we hope to connect with others who share our passions, try to make a dent in the universe, and live the life we've always dreamed.

But we can't do it alone. We need your help.
Why We're Doing This
Rather than a traditional bridal registry, we're asking our friends and family to help us raise at least $5,000 to help cover our initial living costs in Silicon Valley, which unfortunately has become the most expensive place in the country to rent housing [1] due to the tech boom.

On August 5, we are flying to the US with no jobs, no place to live, no family, and no one to fall back on but each other. We have some personal savings, but only enough to barely get by.
The money we raise here will go towards 3~4 months of rent in the San Francisco Bay Area. During those precious 3 months, we will both be looking for work at a tech company or startup (or perhaps start one ourselves).
We're not asking for any gifts or physical items. All we're asking for is 3 months of time. That's it. Nothing more. Just 3 months of time to jumpstart our new life together.

What's In It For You
Nari and I have always tried to help the community and those around us (weekly volunteering at an orphanage, providing free English tutoring to people we know, etc.), but this time we are the ones who need help.
Every donation counts, no matter how big or small! Think of it as an investment in us and a vote of confidence in who we are and what we're trying to do :)
Everyone who donates will receive a Thank You call/email from us, and anyone who donates $20 or more will receive a physical post card in the mail from us after we arrive in San Francisco.

As a bonus, Nari and I will be starting a new blog and blogging regularly about our journey to Silicon Valley and all the ups and downs that come with it. (Blog link to be shared soon)
Being 100% open and transparent about how we're making use of your donations is the least we can do, and we think it will be a great way to keep in touch with all of our friends across the globe.
Other Ways You Can Help
Don't worry if you aren't able to donate or aren't in a position to donate. We understand! The mere fact that you read up to here shows that you are a true friend who cares about us, and at the end of the day that's all a person could ever ask for :)
The best way to help is by sharing this with others who also believe in us and want to see us succeed. Your love and support is what will keep us going when times inevitably get tough, and you will be the first people we think of when we finally "make it" :)
