It's embarrassing. We want to change this.
Having loads of experience in electronic alarm systems, we set ourselves this manifesto:
-
Create autonomous motorcycle alarm system .
-
No wires, do-it-yourself installation.
-
Make it smart and simple to configure and operate.
-
Its battery should last more than a year.
- No subscription fee, any 2G/3G SIM card should do!
All this converted into monimoto:

Monimoto launches June, 2016
Meanwhile, we are polishing the firmware, mobile applications and testing monimoto in real life situations. There is one important task for us to do before we go public - certification. It's time, effort and money consuming process and we need your support here. In return we offer 30% off the M.S.R.P. (249€).
Monimoto was created by this wonderful ELDES team:

It took almost 3 years since the inception to test batch production. And now we are ready to hear your opinion.
How we see monimoto in action
Step by step explanation how monimoto works.
1. Placed monimoto anywhere under plastic covers.
Don't put it inside metal cabinets and boxes, as it blocks radio signals.
2. You will configure monimoto using Android or iOS app or using geeky SMS syntax (in case you hate smartphones and apps).
3. One of the most important concepts in monimoto is about KEYS. There are two types of keys: smart key in your smartphone and master key in a key fob.

They both operate using Bluetooth low-energy technology.
4. When monimoto can see these keys (it's up to 10 meters/30 feet), the system stays in sleep mode. When keys move away, any kind of motion or vibration will trigger the alarm mode.

5. The system will notify its owner on periodic tests, alarms and low battery events. Here are these possible scenarios:

6. This is sample message that owner will get when monimoto kicks into alarm mode:
