OUR MOVIE
SNEAKERHEADZ will examine the worldwide phenomenon of
sneaker collecting from the streets of Hollywood to downtown Tokyo. This
will be a feature length documentary chronicling the coolest kicks and the
obsessive collectors who chase after the ultimate prize: Rare “Deadstock”
– sneakers that have never been worn but are worth hundreds and sometimes
thousands of dollars.
How did sneakers become as prized as collectable art? Who
collects? Why? SNEAKERHEADZ will delve into this
exploding subculture and interview a number of celebrity collectors to find out
what makes their appetite for a fresh new pair so strong.
We will reach out to celebrities like Jay-Z, Kanye West and
Pharrell Williams; athletes like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and OGs like Dr. J;
designers like Jeremy Scott and John Varvados. We will literally open the vault
on some of the biggest and best sneaker collections around! Shoe
collecting has never been more popular. SNEAKERHEADZ will serve as the ultimate
exploration of those who don’t just want to admire art, they want to wear it.
Mike Epps gave us a tour in his closet and showed us his most cherished sneaker collection.

WHAT YOU GET & WHAT WE NEED
Why crowdfunding? Because
we want to make sure we represent the sneaker culture in an authentic and
accurate way. This movie is about sneakerheads so we want to go straight
to the source – Which kicks should we feature? Who are some big
time collectors you want to hear from? What makes sneakers special to you and
what locations should we seek out? (Post in comments! We'll read everything!)
We’ve already raised $200k of our budget from private investors
but still need additional funds to make this the freshest sneaker documentary
in the history of the universe. Our goal is to raise another $100k and
all of the money is going on the screen. What does that mean?
Making a professional doc is not cheap! There are travel costs to reach
all the people we all want to hear from, cool music that has to be licensed and
all sorts of other stuff that adds up really quickly.
So what’s in it for you? Turns out, we have some special
premiums for all of you who join the team. The coolest ones actually PUT
YOU IN THE MOVIE!
