Short Summary
Some Things Won't Sleep is a short film about a woman who, in the wake of discovering her husband is having an affair, does the most horrific thing possible in order to save her marriage.
While this film is filled with suspense and elements of horror, it also comes with an unexpected twist, giving the film an extra layer of depth beyond what one might come to expect from a typical genre film. The film poses to us the subtle question: is it right to sacrifice a piece of ourselves for the preservation of our family, or is that sacrifice in fact a betrayal of ourselves?
We have been working on this film since November of last year. And having already received support as participants in this year's National Screen Institute Drama Prize, we are now just about ready to make the film.
All except one small thing... we need to raise the other half of our budget!
What We Need & What You Get
Your contribution to this project will help us produce a film that both we, and you, can be proud of. The end goal is to make a film as beautiful as it is thought-provoking for everyone to see and enjoy. Our goal as artists is to inspire people the people around us, and we hope that this project inspires you to look at the world a little differently, and to pursue your own dreams of making beautiful things.
Making a film, even a short one, costs a lot of money! Everything from compensating and feeding the cast and crew, the location, transportation, equipment, art design, cutting and coloring the film- it all adds up VERY quickly as you can imagine.
But in trying to make this project as exciting as possible, you're going to get a lot of great stuff in exchange for your donation. Such as...
- access to behind the scenes of our filmmaking process
- a free copy of the film + a copy of Leah's last film, Another Man
- stills from the movie
- limited edition prints
- free conceptual photo shoots from Leah!
