Sarah created SoxxyAir while recovering from knee surgery.  During the three months she was on crutches, her doctor encouraged her to wear compression sox to help prevent blood clots, especially when flying. One Fund Boston was formed by Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Thomas M. Menino on April 16th, 2013, with the purpose of helping those most affected by the tragic Boston Marathon bombings. The greatest message we have received is that nothing can stop the generosity, courage, and unconditional love we have for one another.

Orion sox:

The Orion sock benefits the Michael Stabile Memorial Scholarship Fund at Trinity Pawling School. The fund provides financial assistance to students in the School’s Language Program. This specialized program works to alleviate dyslexia and learning disabilities; providing students with the opportunity to realize a full range of academic potential.

Jesse Lewis was one of the first graders killed at Sandy Hook elementary school. He was a modern day hero at the age of 6.  Jesse’s Mom, Scarlett Lewis, recently published a heart-warming story about the loss of her son and the birth of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love foundation. “Nurturing, Healing, Love” are the words Jesse left behind on the family’s kitchen chalk-board. In the wake of such terror, it would be easy to become bitter and sarcastic, but Scarlett has chosen love and is developing programs to teach children about the power each of us has to change our thoughts and choose a life without fear and hate. http://www.jesselewischooselove.org/

The Kristen Ann Carr Foundation (KACF) provides grants for cancer research and seeks to improve all aspects of cancer patient life with an emphasis on adolescents and young adults.

The Kristen Ann Carr Foundation honors the life of Kristen Ann Carr (1971 – 1993), a remarkable young woman who sought life and love. Established at Kristen’s request, the Fund continues in her spirit and convictions in its efforts. In memory of Kristen and with love for Barbara, Dave, Sasha + Wes, I created the KACF sock.
