Hey there, hi there, ho there!

L- Spooky Folk (byDave Koen)  R- Crowd at 35 Denton Show (byEd Steele)

HOO

In case you're not familiar with us, here's a quickie handshake of info.
We started as a solo project of songwriter Kaleo Kaualoku 5 years ago in Denton, TX, home of a strong and varied music scene. Slowly but surely, performing solo morphed into having friends accompany him on stage, and that eventually turned into a 5 piece band. We played lots of shows, eventually got better at what we did, and now what started as a indie-folk tinged quintet has become a full-fledged rock band, whatever that means.  Along the way we recorded our first self-titled album, got nominated for some local awards, and played a lot of great shows with some great friends, always supported by the the great community of musicians and music enthusiasts of North Texas.

WUT

It's alive! Sort of...

Almost four years later, our second record is finally done. It's taken a good bit longer than we initially anticipated, but what album hasn't? We've come a long way as a band and the new record really documents this growth. Now that we have the final mastered version of "Youth is a Notion" in our hands, we're itching to show you our hard work and progress (click the link for a taste: www.spookyfolk.bandcamp.com).  But we need some help turning it into a real thing that you can hold in your hands.

HAU

Let's call this a glorified pre-sale if you will.

By donating to this project you are helping us release our record on vinyl. Think of it as a pre-sale! The monetary goal was set considering the cost of vinyl production and shipping costs. Compensation comes in many forms, varying from limited edition collectibles to copies of the record itself.

That's not all, folks!

Also, any additional funds past our goal will be put towards pressing our debut self-titled record to wax as well!  Listen to the first album here: Spooky Folk Self Titled 2010 release.

LUB EWE

From the bottoms of our soles! REALLY.
We hope that you can pitch in and help make this thing turn into a real thing! Any money you can donate is much appreciated and we sincerely hope you like the record as much as we liked making it. Thank you for your support!
