Aims of project

Our aim to show how the ancient Greek Mythology world can connect with modern, to develop unique place in Europe and restore one of the Seven Wonders of the World - a statue of Zeus.

The main aim of this project is:

- to promote Cyprus for overall global recognition, and to be one of the most visited & famous country in Europe;

- to reconnect the modern world with the wonderful aspects of ancient history, focusing primarily on Greek mythology. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk back in time, and learn more about Cyprus history and ancient Greek beliefs and ideals;

- to increase the flow of tourists, which will contribute to the development of such industries as hotel business, tourism, aviation, transport and sea transportation (cruises);

- to provide an opportunity to improve the quality of life of local population, especially in the villages such as Dora, Fasoula, Mamonia, Maronas, Kidasi, in the result improving their nearby environment, and providing more job opportunities.

- to give back to the environment by increasing more green parks and develop undeveloped secluded areas.

We are going to build a statue of Zeus, the father of Gods and king of all Gods in the Greek mythology, thereby we will recover the legendary statue of Zeus, which one was one of the wonders of the ancient world. The wonderful statue was devastated and robbed. To preserve the integrity of the statue, it was transported to Constantinople, where in the V century AD it was finally destroyed during a fire.

The park will also feature a well structured maze for visitors to walk through, where the visitors will have opportunity to see an amazing thing in the centre of the maze.

The project, including all materials and artistic works are protected by copyrighting.

The Construction Site

The construction site was chosen due to compliance with all the necessary criteria, including:

● located away from the sea, between the mountains, thus visitors will have the opportunity to explore and retire with the beautiful nature of Cyprus.

● get tourists to new parts of the island. Most tourists tend to be closer to their resorts, and closer to the sea. Our park will get acquainted tourists with the new places of Cyprus and the culture of the local population.

● to help local remote areas be better populated and develop local business to improve the quality of life.

Timeline

November 2016:  Initial discussion on building a theme park, featuring sculptures and a stone maze in Cyprus, due to the gap in the market for historic and fun tourist attractions. The team agreed and start to make designs of sculptures, drawings of the maze and the architectural plan of the park.

January 2017:  Final outlines of the design of statues completed by the project designers and architectures. The main scheme of the park is created.

April – June 2017:  Project animators and sculptors finish the 3D figures of each statue, allowing the further development of the final figures to be created.

July 2017:  The first view model of the park is completed.

September 2017: First part of plot is purchased for the project.

September – October 2017: The project, including all materials and artistic works is protected (copyright protection) by the International Lawyer Company CHRISTOPHOROS IOANNOU LLC.

November 2017: Amazing World website is launched - http://amazing-world.eu/. Signed agreements with a several Sculpture companies.

December 2017: Registered Business name “Amazing World” for the project, under registration number EE46816a.

January 2018: Started the process to purchase the second plot for the project.  

February 2018: Our lawyers contacted with the Funds of Archaeological Proceeds in Greece and informed them about the project. Our artists created unique drawings of "Zeus", which was made regarding of historical articles, books, informations.

March 2018: Our partners/sculptures finished some sculptures for the park.

March-April 2018: Architect makes the first drawings, with the collection of the documents, to be able to submit to state authorities and get a building permit.

May-June 2018: We started the cleaning works on our lands, to prepare it for construction works.

July 2018: All documents, drawings and applications were submitted to the Government by our Architect for the preliminary view, to be able to obtain a building permit.

We are investing our funds to our project, but we are also looking investors to assist us with the execution of our plan.
