Who We Are: Political Research Associates (PRA) is a social justice think tank dedicated to studying and challenging the U.S. right-wing.

Why Our Work Matters: In 2013, the 40^th anniversary year of Roe, we see rape exemptions to abortion bans under attack, rhetoric about "Black genocide," contraception becoming controversial, and the potential for Mississippi to become the first state without a single abortion-providing clinic.  

Since its original release in 2000, the activist resource kit has been used by thousands of advocates and academics countrywide to understand and challenge right-wing assaults on reproductive rights and health. The Roe anniversary Defending Reproductive Justice edition provides vital updates to new legislative challenges, analysis of developing trends in right-wing organizing, and much more of what reproductive justice supporters need to know to fight the U.S. Right’s impact domestically and abroad.

Your donation will help us complete production of this ARK and distribute to classrooms and organizations who need information on right-wing strategy. Our goal is to provide the Activist Resource Kit free of charge to as many reproductive justice organizers, teachers, and student groups as possible, particularly those who have acted as advisors on current legislative and movement trends: CLPP (Civil Liberties and Public Policy program), Advocates for Youth, Choice USA, Law Students for Reproductive Justice, New Voices Pittsburgh, Northern California Feminist Women’s Health Centers, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.

What We Need: We are asking for $5,000 to:

• Complete production and printing of the resource kit
• Debut the Activist Resource Kit at this year’s CLPP conference
• Provide the kits free-of-charge to women’s rights groups everywhere

If we exceed our fundraising goal, we will create a supplemental guide dedicated to issues facing youth and young adults from harmful abstinence-only education to crisis pregnancy centers targeting campuses.
