THE STORY

As you’d expect, the story of TARGETVISION began on a gun range, where the founders, Clay, Richard and James, were practicing their marksmanship.  The year was 2012.  

As the frustration of having to use a spotting scope and having to wait for other shooters to change a target took hold, the founders began brainstorming ways that they could simplify and enhance the range experience while improving their skills at the same time.  Why do we have to use spotting scopes, isn’t there an easier way to see our shots?  Why can’t something tell us which shot was our most recent? -- And thus, The idea for TARGETVISION was born.

The founders envision a new kind of shooting experience where technology is used to not only simplify the shooting experience, but to enhance it as well.  Imagine being able to stay set on your rfle and clearly seeing you shot up to a mile away, an app that could always tell you which shot was your last, taking snapshots or recordings of your shooting session and saving them to review later or share with friends, never having to go down range again to change a target, and playing darts or battleship with your friends and having an app to keep track of and score your shots.  Those are just some of the things that you can look forward to from TARGETVISION. 

WHAT IS TARGETVISION?

TARGETVISION is a fixed lens, portable, battery powered, wireless target camera that can be viewed from a phone, tablet or laptop. With a range of one mile, a run time of 16+ hours and a starting price of $1295. TARGETVISION is the perfect companion for long range shooters, competitive shooters, and people who are looking for a more interactive and entertaining shooting experience. This unit is able to clearly see .17 caliber bullet holes and larger at any distance up to a mile. TARGETVISION consists of two pieces, the transmitter/camera and the receiver. The transmitter sits down range about 10-15 feet from the target and can be moved within that range to adjust the field of view. The receiver is built into the carrying case and sits next to the shooter while shooting.

SET UP - COULD IT BE ANY EASIER?

TARGETVISION replaces the spotting scope and may even be easier to setup.  In three easy steps you could be up an going with your very own TARGETVISION . 

1. Power -- Turn on the TARGETVISION camera and receiver 

2. Connect -- Connect your phone or tablet to your TARGETVISION system’s WiFi network

3. Aim -- Take TARGETVISION down range with you when setting up your target and aim the camera throught the app to get the exact view that you want

4. Enjoy -- Shoot with an ease and enjoyment you couldn’t have imagined possible! - this one doesn’t really count as a step ;)

Multiple Users - TARGETVISION allows multiple people to log into one camera system and view the same target.  This is a great tool for training, shooting with a group, or showing off...

Multiple Cameras - View multiple cameras at one time or scroll through them as you change targets or train multiple shooters

Share - Share your photos and videos through messaging, Facebook, and other social media.

Group Marking - Keep track of your groups with the easy to use group marking feature.  This will color code each group of shots that you designate as you shoot.

Shooting Sessions - Keep track of how you shoot each time you go to the range by creating albums that categorize your pictures and videos while allowing you to add information about where you were, how far you were shooting, and any other custom information that you would like to include.

We began developing TARGETVISION almost two years ago and have come a long way since then.  We are finally ready to share our product with the world and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.  Below you will find pictures of some of our initial prototypes.

We are finally ready to launch our product and we need your help to do so.  We manufacture all of our units in our shop in Houston, Texas.  This has its advantages and disadvantages, but what it really means is that we don't have to raise a ridiculous amount of money to get TARGETVISION into your hands.  We have already refined our design and our manufacturing process, so if you pledge for a unit you're going to get a unit!

The primary reason that we are using Indiegogo is to help raise awareness around  our launch and to help plan our first production run as accurately as possible.  You can help us with this by sharing our campaign with your friends and spreading the word through social media.

We have developed a proprietary long range link methodology that allows us to communicate at such long distances.

• How does my device connect to the system? 

Via WiFi, each system has a unique WiFi name that coordinates to the unit serial number. You connect to your systems network and then use the app to view the camera.

• How do you compare to the competition?

There are a few key differences between our system and the others that exist:  

1. TARGETVISION is the ONLY system that is able to be viewed on a smartphone and tablet

2. We have the longest run time of 16+ hours

3. The system is extremely easy to set up 

4. Our app. With shot highlighting and marking options, the ability to zoom in and out, record and capture images, and share via facebook, text or email, no other system comes close when it comes to capability

• What if I shoot the camera?

Unfortunately, our systems are not bullet proof. If the system was to be shot it would have to be sent in for repair or be replaced.  It is unlikely that you will hit the camera though, because it sits on the ground and does not have to be directly in front of the target (or the path of the bullet).

• Is the system waterproof?

The case is waterproof and the camera is weather resistant. It will survive a rainstorm but not a flood.

• What is your warranty?

We offer a one year warranty against manufacturing defects.

• Does the camera sit on my shooting bench?

No, the camera sits down range about 10-15 feet from the target and can be moved within that range to adjust the field of view. The receiver is built into the carrying case and sits next to the shooter while shooting.

• What if I don’t have cell service?

No Problem!  TARGETVISION doesn’t require cell service.  Our system creates it’s own WiFi network that your phone or tablet then uses to view the camera.  It is important to know, however, that your device will lose the ability to connect to or use any internet based services when connected to TARGETVISION because TARGETVISION’s WiFi does not have a data connection and when WiFi is enabled, cellular data is disabled. 

• Where do I add money for international shipping?

When you select a contribution level, you're prompted to enter in the total contribution amount just below.  This is for people that want international shipping, or if you want to toss a few extra bucks our way just to be nice.

What if I forgot to add international shipping?

After the project is funded and we're ready to ship, we'll contact each contributor to confirm shipping details.  If you didn't add shipping when you contributed, you can add it then.
