Let's take this campaign to the next level

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us reach our goal of $5,000!  With a few days left in our campaign, we can make an even bigger impact if more of you contribute.  There is much that we hope to do given our national expansion - thank you and Happy New Year!

What We Do

The mission of Techbridge is to empower girls to realize their dreams through science, technology, and engineering. Our innovative after-school and summer programs inspire 5th through 12th grade girls from underserved communities in the San Francisco Bay Area to change the world. In 2012, Techbridge received Silicon Valley Education Foundation’s national award for innovations in science education.

Our weekly programs provide girls with hands-on projects and career exploration through our curriculum, role models, and field trips. Techbridge girls build confidence, problem-solving skills, perseverance, and public speaking abilities that will serve them well in any career.

Techbridge’s holistic approach gives girls a strong support network that includes their peers, teachers, families, and role models.  We provide trainings for role models, resources for families, and professional development opportunities for educators in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country. We have a national reach through our partnership with Girl Scout councils and are at an exciting period in our growth as we embark on a national expansion of our after-school programs, beginning with Seattle in fall 2014.

The Impact

We are proud of the consistent, positive results we achieve each year. Among the many indicators of our success, are the following:

  • 94% know more about how things work, like circuits and simple machines
  • 92% feel more confident using technology
  • 91% try harder to overcome a challenge
  • 94% believe engineering is a good career for women
  • 93% are more interested in working in technology, science, or engineering because of role model visits and field trips.

Why We Need Your Support

Together we can join forces to ensure that thousands of girls here in our own community and across the country can experience the wonders of science, technology, and engineering; gain confidence; and explore exciting career paths. Techbridge has set a goal of $5,000 for this year-end campaign to raise funding for programs that inspire, engage, and empower girls to become tomorrow’s innovators and leaders. See the many ways in which your support will help now by reviewing the gift levels and perks available. Gifts at all levels are greatly appreciated and will help us reach our goal.

Spread the word! Email or call five of your friends and invite them to make a donation to help raise funds to get more girls interested in science, technology, and engineering.

Donate today and visit the Techbridge website to learn more about our programs, volunteer opportunities, and ways you can participate.

Remember, your tax-deductible gift may also be eligible for a match through your employer.

Thank you for your support and happy holidays!
