ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Do you ever wonder where your sh%t comes from?
THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS is one of most controversial plays in recent theatre history. It is also one of the most frequently performed - since Mike Daisey made the play available for free license, TATESJ has been produced some 57 times all over the world, translated into numerous languages, and even performed in China.
... And now it's a musical.
THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS: THE MUSICAL will premier this summer in Washington, DC at the 2013 Capital Fringe Festival. Adapted by Timothy J. Guillot from Mike Daisey's play, the musical will be directed by Ronee Penoi.
HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS:
THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS: THE MUSICAL is Junesong’s most ambitious project to date and we need your help to make it happen. Funding raised through this Indiegogo campaign will go to directly support the production and all associated costs: purchasing props and costumes, renting rehearsal space, and most importantly paying everyone involved for their time and talents. We value the work of our actors, musicians, and creative team, and are committed to paying everyone involved in the production. For those who are more interested in funding the nuts and bolts, we will also use funds to purchase envelopes, to print scripts, and buy highlighters! (Who doesn’t love office supplies!)
Here’s an idea of what your donation supports:
- Fringe Participation Fee: $575
- Insurance: $200
- Costumes: $200
- Sound & Lighting Equipment: $150
- Weekly Travel for an Actor to Rehearsal: $25
- Lunch for Cast & Creative team: $75
- Musicians: $450
- Postcards & Programs: $350
- General Admin. Supplies: $75
Any donation - from $1 to $1,000 - will be put to good use in getting this production off the ground. We THANK YOU for your support!!
