Short Summary

With a "viral" video featuring a charming original song, father and daughter team Steve and Amanda Boisen (aka The Barnkickers) soon found themselves in demand at musical festivals around the country, performing alongside noted musicians such as Greg Hawkes of The Cars, Julia Nunes, and Victoria Vox.

Fans have been waiting for the follow-up to their 2009 debut CD "Up Before Noon". Unfortunately college, steady gigs, and life in general hampered their progress. Taking a break from live performances, they've recently teamed up with noted jazz musician and producer Nate Najar to create a bigger and better effort that will reflect the growth that has taken place since their debut. One notable change is the decision to focus on Amanda's rapidly developing talent as a singer and composer by releasing this CD under the name "AmandaLynn" with her father assuming the role of accompanist and executive producer.

Maintaining an acoustic-driven sound and a bit of the vintage charm The Barnkickers were known for, AmandaLynn's debut CD is a step forward in her artistic development and unique collaboration with her father.

What We Need & What You Get

In order to expand their sonic palette, Amanda and her father knew they would have to go beyond the home studio and enlist the services of a producer experienced in recording acoustic music. A professional recording studio and additional musicians will be essential in obtaining a top quality sound and fuller musical arrangements.
