The Chimney Luck
is a classic 2D Jump and Run Platformer in nice retro style, with the particularity that two characters play the levels at different times of the year. As a result, different level structures arise.
Yet both characters have different abilities, with which both can enter their own specific areas.
While the first character brings the luck to the residents by the cleaning of chimneys, the second character brings it in form of gifts.
Although it is possible to finish the game with only one character, but if you want to explore the whole world you have to use the characteristics of both characters.
The chimney sweep can reach higher places with his ladder, and with his cleaning tool he can clear out clogged chimneys and more. This makes it possible for him or the second character to enter hidden areas or even otherwise locked houses.
SantaClaus can slip with magic through narrow tubes, can run light as a feather on the clouds and fly with his Christmas sleigh above the cities. Through this combination there is a lot to explore in the big cities. This allows to play the levels several times and finding secret places.
These various cities can be reached via a world map, which one uncover more and more.

I am since 1994 in the games industry and worked at games like “Albion”, “The Settlers”, “Knights And Merchants”, as well as some jump and run platformers as “SantaClaus in Trouble” and “RossoRabbit”.

But classic jump and runs are no longer in demand by the publishers, either there are huge graphical bombs or simple casual games.
Therefore, I decide myself to venture to one.
