Short Summary
My name is Anthony White and I am writer/director of The Devil's Woods. From a young age I have been fascinated with film especially Horror films. Growing up the film's of John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick, Tobe Hooper, George A Romero and Quentin Tarantino were a huge inspiration to me.
In 2012 I began writing a script for a Horror film inspired by the great pre CGI horror films of the 70's & 80's but told in a new way for a modern audience.
Plot outline
En route to a music festival, four friends decide to stop at a small town in the middle of rural Ireland. Unknown to the girls Jay and Keith have heard about the legends surrounding the town and some of its dark past. The girls decide to play a prank on Keith and Jay but things don't go as expected. Can a town that is inherently evil literally tear them apart? Does the biggest danger come from within the group? Can they survive.... The Devil's Woods.
We want to make a totally retro styled horror film based in rural Ireland which lends itself perfectly to this style of film. We have locations in Dublin and County Meath.
Starring Stephen Cromwell (Love/Hate, The Late Men) and the super talented Daniel Mahony we have two of the finest young actors working in Ireland today.

What We Need & What You Get
I have already invested 2000 euro on equipment on this project so far. I need help to finish what we all think is an amazing project.
We are looking for funding of a further 2000 euro which will go towards the renting of more equipment and the food and travel expenses of the cast and crew.

People
Everyone involved in this production is working for FREE. NONE OF THE MONEY WE MAKE HERE WILL GO TOWARDS ANY PAYMENTS TO ANYONE INVOLVED. We are all working on this project because we believe in its potential and a universal love of horror films. All the cast and crew work in the film industry which unfortunately in Ireland is not a stable source of income. The Devil's Woods will have 20 people working on it including cast and crew who are not getting paid but who we need to buy food for and pay for travel expenses.
