Whats this I hear about a party?
Every year the E3 2013 party list group on Facebook is the absolute go to source for finding parties during our favorite industry event of the year!
We love E3 parties so much we thought we'd try throwing one of our own! The more money we raise, the more awesome stuff we can add to the party! So let's make it happen
What am I paying for?
Partying in LA isn't cheap, but we're going to make damn sure we put on an event well worth the coin it costs to fund. We're currently looking at one of the most unique, trendy venues in the downtown scene, the one of a kind Figueroa hotel. And whaddya know, conveniently located walking distance from the convention center!
We've also got amazing LA local DJ xPoint on board spinning game-themed tunes all party long!
Not to mention tasty food and of course...FREE DRINKS! All in the luxurious Rabat room of the Figueroa hotel!
So When is it?
We want this party early enough in the evening so as not to step on the toes of the big corporate sponsored parties happening on through midnight. So consider this a convenient place to pregame, mingle and boogey before the big night. Or if you're just looking for a place to relax after a long day of walking the floor, this is the place to be! Time slot we're looking at now is from 6 to 10pm. Exact date is still up in the air but its a toss up between June 11th or June 12th, we have reservations for either at our venue so theres flexibility.
Who We Are?
The event planners include Ben Fisher and John Laster of XBLAfans.com, founders of the illustrious E3 Party List Facebook group.
Also on board as event coordinator is Adam Nelson, known by many E3 partygoers as the @E3_PartyGuide. Aside from being a game industry veteran, Nelson has been working as a freelance event coordinator locally in LA for over 4 years. Trust us, this shindigs in good hands.
If We Exceed Our Goal?
Like I mentioned above, the more money we raise, the more cool stuff we can add to make this a night to remember. We could:
-Upgrade to a poolside venue at the Figueroa!
-Add a photobooth!
-Bubble machine!
-Disco lights!
-Dancers!
Sky is the limit! The more we raise, the better the party. We'd even be able to extend the length of the party, allow for more guests, more drinks and hors d'œuvres too!
