By donating generously, you can help us make a joyful noise at this year’s parade and create a fun and interactive booth at the festival. God loves all his children, LGBT included, and only with your help can we prove it!

We have set our fundraising goal at $2,500 for boring financial reasons that I won’t go into here, but we need to raise double that. So, don’t feel that your money is no good here if we’ve already reached that goal. We need every penny! There are lots of things to see at this event, so we need to stand out, have some cool take-a-ways, and have a strong call to action.
Our plan is to have a photobooth and lots of fun swag. For the parade, we want hundreds of Episcopalians marching proudly. And I don’t mean just gay ones – we want gay, straight, married, single, old, young, conservative, liberal, drag queens, real queens, ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between.
Why is it important to donate to this particular effort, you might ask. There are many reasons. First, this may be the only positive interaction with the church that the attendees have all year. Second, we need to let them know that they are welcome to join our community, no hiding or shame necessary. And third, we need to show everyone that we can have some fun, and are relevant in the 21st century.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. - Ephesians 3:17-21
During last year’s parade, there were protesters with megaphones letting everyone in earshot know that they were unwelcome in the Kingdom of Heaven. As we marched past, a few people in the crowd shouted “Thank you! Thank you for marching!” to us. Our presence is powerful, and the healing it provides should not be underestimated.
So, please, donate to this effort. March in the parade. Help us spread the word by sharing this with your friends and relatives. Let us stand up and shout to the LGBT Community, “The Episcopal Church Welcomes You! Come as You Are.”
