FEATURING: John Dugan (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Daniel Emery Taylor (Return Of Swamp Thing), Jim O'Rear (The Dead Matter), and Scott Tepperman (Ghost Hunters International).
Project Overview
The Concept
The concept of this film is easy! Just imagine “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” fell in love with “Paranormal Activity” but, because of fertility issues, couldn’t have a baby so they found a sperm donor named “Hostel” and they had a child. This child would be named THE HOSPITAL!
THE HOSPITAL is going to push every boundary within the horror film genre. It’s best quoted in our indiegogo video: “We are going back to the old school style of horror story telling, such as The Original Friday The 13th and I Spit On Your Grave!"
PLUS... Tony Todd (CANDYMAN) says this script is "the sickest shit since Rosemary's Baby."
Co-Writer/Co-Producer
Jim O’Rear has been involved in the entertainment industry for over twenty-five years, beginning his career on tour as The Youngest Professional Magician with David Copperfield, Harry Blackstone Jr., and The Great Tomsoni and opening for acts like Cheap Trick and John Anderson.
With his “magical” background and having been trained in New York at The American Academy Of Dramatic Arts, it was only natural that Jim move into the realm of film, television, and theatre where he has worked steadily as an actor, stuntman, and special make-up effects artist on such projects as Fall Of The House Of Usher, Day Of The Dead, Star Trek 4, The Vampire Wars, Lethal Weapon 3, Creature Feature, Hayride Slaughter, Cop & ½, Psycho Beach Party, Evita, Little Shop Of Horrors, No Retreat No Surrender 3, Mortal Kombat: Conquest, and many more with actors including Martin Sheen, Burt Reynolds, Mel Gibson, Amanda Plummer, Maximillian Schell, Robert Englund, Jon Voight, Chris Sarandon, and others.
Co-Director/Co-Writer
Daniel Emery Taylor is best known as "Darryl" from the 1988 sci-fi cult classic THE RETURN OF SWAMP THING. The sequel to Wes Craven's original film finds the DC superhero again battling the evil Dr. Arcane (Louis Jourdan) and vying for the affection of Arcane's stepdaughter Abigail (Heather Locklear). Darryl and his friend Omar constantly find themselves in trouble. Luckily, Swampy has a tendency of saving the day!
From there, Daniel did several television appearances (including IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT and the critically acclaimed I'LL FLY AWAY) before finding himself in the 2000 DreamWorks comedy ROAD TRIP alongside comedy stars Tom Green and Ethan Suplee. More recently, he has become quite prolific in the realm of independent horror and has worked with many of the genre greats. Recent co-stars include Ari Lehman, John Dugan, Jim O'Rear, Tiffany Shepis, Robert Z'Dar, Robert Englund, and Danielle Harris.
Co-Director
Tommy Golden has been featured on many paranormal reality TV programs such as Paranormal State, Ghost Lab, and My Ghost Story. During 11 plus years in the paranormal field he began to study sound engineering and learning programs such as Protools, Adobe Audition, and many other sound editing hardware and software systems.
In 2011-2012 Tommy studied at and graduated from Nashville Film Institute with a diploma in Film Production with a specialty in Cinematography and Field Producing. He adapted a Stephen King short story and turned it into a short film masterpiece.
Tommy shocked the world with The Boogeyman simply because of his religious background and early seminary training. Though The Boogeyman was really not a slasher film, what it did do was pave the way in the horror filmmaking community for him.
