"A handsome sci-fi point and click adventure. The identity crisis at the heart of things is portrayed in a compelling fashion. It’s an elegant take on the device, and left me hungry for more."- Rock, Paper Shotgun
"Chock-a-block with buzzwords and sleek ‘coolness’ that drives many of my insides into whirring and giddy delights. The Maker’s Eden is oozing in style and content." - IndieStatik
"The oil painting visuals look fantastic" - RipTen
"Fans of Point & Clicks shouldn't be disappointed. Check out the cool lookin' interactive art." - NeoGaf
![What is The Maker's Eden? What is The Maker's Eden?]()
The Maker's Eden is a first-person point-and-click adventure presented in the form of a motion comic. It uses techniques found in both motion comics and traditional comics to engage you in its world, and the gameplay is character and story driven with a heavy emphasis on discovery.
The game world is rich with history and socio-political commentary with clues to the past and present scattered around for you to find. The genre's a mix of noir crime-drama in a futuristic world, with the story playing out against a backdrop of soulful jazz and hand-painted graphics. We don't want to throw around too many 'buzz-words', but we're going for moody, atmospheric and engaging.

![Why flexible funding? Why flexible funding?]()
Isn't that the one where people run off with your money? Why yes, yes it is! And we ARE going to run off with your money! And we're going to spend it on making our dreams come true! - Fortunately for you, our dreams are to make games. So a little while after we've run off with your money, you'll get a game in your inbox.
Our target is the amount of money we need in order to work on the game full-time for three months and then release it at the end of those three months. It includes paying the musician, artist and writer who are currently working without any financial reimbursment, and cost of living for the developer to work on the game full-time for those three months. Flexible Funding will allow us to work on the game continuously as funds are received, rather than having to work slowly on development around other boring obligations like office jobs while we wait.
This is important though - we ARE making this game, and if you contribute to us, you WILL get everything promised in the perk tier, even if we don't make our funding. It'll just take longer if we don't reach our funding goal. :)

![What platforms will it support? What platforms will it support?]()
We're using Unity to make the game - which means we can publish for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile devices. Huzzah!
![Will there be DRM? Will there be DRM?]()
Boo, hiss! Never! DRM is evil and must be punished. Once you've bought the game you can do whatever you like with it, even if that means installing it on your home PC, work PC, netbook, laptop, iPhone, Android... You get the picture. Even though we're going to try to get on distribution platforms like Steam, there will always be a DRM-Free version available.

![Why Indiegogo? Why Indiegogo?]()
We're running this campaign for you to help us fund the development of Act 1 of a 3-act game. We'll release Act 1 initially and its post-campaign sales will fund the remaining two acts; this helps us gauge interest in the game as a whole, and enables us to get the project started with a smaller initial budget.

![Perks Perks]()
IMPORTANT - Even though we have planned stretch goals to fund acts 2 and 3, we might not reach those in this campaign. However, if Act 1 sells successfully enough AFTER the campaign for us to make Act 2, we'd feel bad about the people who helped us get there not getting Act 2 also. So, assuming we don't reach our stretch goals to fund Acts 2 and 3 - if Act 1 sells successfully, everyone who pledged enough to get Act 1 will get Act 2 - and if Act 1 sells VERY successfully and/or if Act 2 sells successfully, you'll get Act 3 as well.
