Hello. We are The Mariachi Ghost.

We're an 8-piece band from Winnipeg, Canada. We play the trumpet, the tarima, the jarana, electric instruments, congas, drums, and even a donkey's jawbone (or quijada).

A NEW KIND OF MUSIC 

We make our music by combining traditional Mexican folk music with progressive rock, spaghetti-western instrumentals, and jazz to create a sound that is unique and haunting (HEAR US ON SOUNDCLOUD).

We have been honing our sound for the last 5 years. Now we are ready to show it to the world. We need your help to record a full-length album.

Your contribution will help us cover the costs of recording and producing this 10 song concept album that will seamlessly shift between our various musical styles, telling the story of the Mariachi Ghost. To make this vision come alive, we have already drafted Juno award-winning producer Benoit Morier.

ABOUT US

The Mariachi Ghost has conquered the greatest stages and festivals in Manitoba as a live act incorporating 8 musicians and up to 10 dancers. Our self-produced EP, Machete, made it to number 4 on the college radio charts across Canada and our YouTube videos have more than 10,000 views. We have worked very hard and we want to continue to do so. We believe our band is ready to showcase our blend of Manitoba-made, Mexican-influenced music around the world.

STRETCH GOALS

Details

$10,000: Let's celebrate! Every donor gets a free bonus download link to a studio demo version of our song, Sweet Water, where Spaghetti Western meets Cumbia!

$11,500: We will produce a Vinyl LP version of the album (donors can upgrade to vinyl for additional fee)!

$13,000: We'll record a sponsor's choice bonus track on the new album. This will be a traditional Mexican song chosen by you – every donor to this Indiegogo campaign!

$15,000: We'll add a special Mariachi Ghost comic book strip to the liner notes of every first printing CD, drawn by a professional comic book artist!

$20,000: We'll record a full-blown Spaghetti Western-style music video of one of our singles from the new album. All donors will be invited to join as extras on the set!
