The Story
The N&N Files follows New Orleans locals Nikki Beaumont (Liz Vassey) and Nora Delaney (Christina Cox), former NOPD cops turned private investigators. They navigate the channels of their personal lives together alongside their dedication to uncovering the truth in the one city that really likes to keep its secrets, New Orleans.
Season One “Music, Mayhem and Mothers” takes Nikki and Nora into the underbelly of the New Orlean's music scene when they're hired to work on a case that puts them in the spotlight and the headlights: the possible murder of an up-and-coming musician. Meanwhile at home, Nikki and Nora tackle the rising tide of core family issues while their new home is in the throes of renovation.
Make History
Making The N&N Files series will be the first time an unaired network pilot will be re-imagined and made for distribution on the web. And we can't do it without your help.
Our goal is to make the fullest, most complete season possible, which means the more we raise, the more episodes we'll shoot. We have received limited funding from our distributor and an investor, but in order to tell the story the way it deserves to be told we need help from the fans.
The Impact
The Nikki & Nora pilot, made in 2004, was the first lesbian-themed drama series in serious consideration for a network TV slot. While network television remains largely lesbian-free, with crowdfunding and a new distribution outlet (the web), fans can choose what projects they want to greenlight. Isn't it time for a serious crime drama focused on a lesbian couple?
