Who We Are:
Alison
Henderson and Ritu Chander are entrepreneurial women, passionate about making a
difference for individuals, by providing them with a new way to think about
making decisions and the challenges before them. We are consultants who assess
how people cognitively make decisions which positively impacts job success. We have provided assessments for a homeless shelter,
a domestic violence shelter and a non-profit legal services organization. After
witnessing the impact we made, we are inspired to do more.
Many in our society
who are homeless do not fit the stereotype.
True success story:
The Next Move provided a MPA profile assessment to a homeless woman, “Ann,” who
was university educated, an entrepreneur with several businesses, and was successful by all
outside standards. Ann was hard hit by the recession and suddenly lost her
business, her home and her self-confidence. After The Next Move assessment, Ann
changed her resume objectives and how she addressed her strengths and
weaknesses in interviews. Within months, she is gainfully employed and on her
way to leaving the homeless shelter and renting her own apartment!
This is the success that keeps Ritu and I inspired
and has fueled our desire to do more. We
are collaborating with several organizations, one of whom is Apna Ghar (www.apnaghar.org), a domestic violence shelter. We cannot reach our wait list of deserving
clients like “Ann” without your help.

The Campaign:
The
Next Move LLC is raising funds to provide our unique services to individuals
who would otherwise not have access to this life-changing and transformational
consulting service. Our non-profit collaboration program, Ascending
Hand in Hand, reaches into our community to serve the homeless, the
underserved, the underprivileged and victims of domestic violence with the goal
of empowering individuals to greater confidence and self- sufficiency.
We
have been successful providing services to Chicago organizations including:
➢ a homeless
shelter;
➢ a domestic
violence shelter and
➢ and
a legal service organization.
The
need in our community is so great that we are asking your help to bring this
service to those currently waiting for services.
What is our consulting service?
Our
elite consulting service called MPA Profiling breaks down an individual’s
decision-making process into six categories. It also reveals the level to which
they prefer to collaborate with others or act independently.
This
information allows us to predict how someone will take action and work with
others. For instance, is someone motivated to be well informed with
options and details before proceeding, thereby feeling pushed by others that
want to jump into action? Or do they jump into action without being
well-prepared, and feel impatient with the individual who needs more
information before taking action? It is these preferences that impact job
success and interpersonal dynamics.
This
unique approach to understanding the core, instinct level motivation enables
one to alter the trajectory of productivity and effectiveness by:
- making more powerful decisions;
- relieving conflict;
- increasing productivity and
efficiency;
- bringing awareness of how one
is perceived by others in their interactions; and
- more accurately understanding
others.
The
MPA Profile assessment is NOT based on self-reporting or psychoanalysis. The
Next Move consultants observe nonverbal communication which correlates
one-to-one with the six process categories. Within a small margin, the
assessment does not change and it remains valid for a lifetime.
The
Next Move is the only company in the Midwest certified to
provide MPA Profiling. Ritu and Alison are two of the 25 analysts trained
globally to provide these assessments.

This program was started to support the underserved in our
community like Ann in the story above. Through this program, The Next Move
works with the clients of non-profit organizations by providing a MPA Profile at
NO CHARGE. We also support the non-profit organization’s
infrastructure by helping management teams work more efficiently to provide better services for their clients.
The
program has been so successful that we are driven to expand after witnessing
the results.
Individuals
are:
- more empowered and confident in
job interviews;
- able to seek jobs that fit
their personality better; and
- happier on the job and more
likely to stay employed to launch their path to self-sufficiency.
Organization
teams are:
- working with less stress and
less conflict;
- more efficient on projects; and
- experiencing greater job
satisfaction.
This
phenomenal program is the only one of its kind...ANYWHERE! Let's all come
together hand in hand to transform our community.
What We Need
The
Next Move needs $15,000 to meet our vision for the program. We have
individuals, such as those at Apna Ghar, waiting for this significant service. Due
to the 2 day investment for every profile, we are only able to provide one
complimentary profile for every six paid clients for whom we provide this
service. Without this campaign, will be unable to avoid the delay in this
provision to help the many individuals striving to get back on their feet.
$1500
per individual will cover the consultant fees. This covers 2 days work
per individual. Consultants are slashing their fees to enable this
cause.
Any
funds raised will go directly to the Ascending Hand in Hand Program to empower
as many individuals as possible.
