What We Need

The Brobe needs AT LEAST $10,000 to further our start-up journey. The Mommy Brobe is the perfect garment to sell in major retail stores however, coming up with the large production cost upfront can be a challenge being a small business.Thats were you can help. By purchasing the first Mommy Brobe we will be able to order larger quantities which in turn lowers our production cost. Lowering the cost will lower the wholesale price and the larger retailers are more willing to buy.  We were able to start with a very small quantity of Mommy Brobes to get us started but they are going fast so order your's today on Indiegogo.

One in eight babies is born preterm. Human milk is especially important for premature or sick babies, who are at 10 times the risk for devastating intestinal infections if they are fed formula instead of human milk.Fewer than half of moms who deliver a baby prematurely are able to provide their babies with breast milk. Through donor milk, these preterm babies are still able to receive the benefits of breast milk to help them grow and thrive. 

• In 2012 the Austin Milk Bank provided milk to approximately 1,800 babies
• In 2012 they provided milk to 100 hospitals across Central Texas and 20 other states 
• In 2012, 589 women donated milk. Ideally they need to screen and approve 700 donors in 2013 to meet the growing demand.

Notice that you must get in early to receive your Mommy Brobe by September 15th - and there are a limited number available in each size. The next shipping date will arrive by December 5th in time for the Christmas holidays. If you have any questions about shipping, many answers are in the FAQ or feel free to email or Facebook us. If you’ve moved to a new place, don’t worry, we will let you change this information up until your Mommy Brobe is ready to ship. The Mommy Brobe Story

Hi, my name is Allison Schickel. The inspiration for the Mommy Brobe came to me in 2002 after having my first daughter Mackenzie. I was lucky enough to have enough milk to nurse my newborn however the new overwhelming size of my chest was not all that well, comfortable. I was very self conscious about people coming in and out of the hospital room to visit the new baby while I was wearing those oh so attractive gowns. Not much changed after we took the baby home. It was a struggle everyday to find anything that was soft, flattering, supportive and made me feel beautiful. Women want to feel attractive not only for their partner but for themselves as well. I was tired of spending a crazy amount of money on nursing garments that were cheaply made, not stylish and quite frankly not very supportive of the new milk maids. I wanted a nursing garment that I could continue to wear while loosing my baby weight and even long after I stopped nursing.

I started searching for a comfortable robe with a front-opening bra inside to give me maximum coverage and support during my maternity. Nothing online or in stores matched my idea of a fashionably luxurious maternity garment. This launched my mission to give moms the ultimate robe.

Please help me in my mission to make the journey into mommy-hood more enjoyable. What I can promise you is a product that was created by a woman for women, designed with personal touch and great service before and after receiving your Mommy Brobe.
